we are on the pro level. You can make some mistakes driving and it dont hurt you. If we go tour pro and your drive isn't perfect you feel the effect of that. Making 6-7 birdies in a row is crazy. Not very realistic. But agree with AU, it's what keeps everyone coming back.

Regardless, I'm in. Took me a few holes to get going. I took a double on a par 5. Lost a ball on the drive where the wind was behind me then again on my second shot....

It's possible that nothing is different. You enjoyed last year's game at this time enough to be leader of starting a league.

Now about 2 weeks from now, we'll really find out if the perceived difference is real.

Might be that you guys aren't shooting +20 a round now. Just stick with it, the controller mechanics have changed a bit over the years, but very little has changed in the way the ball plays. Biggest difference I have seen this year is when you aren't on level ground, it actually affects ball flight. That is the biggest change in ball physics, probably ever.

See, last year I noticed that above or below your feet and uphill or downhill lies mattered.

This year it doesn't seem to in the rounds I've played.

Joe, this year, for me atleast I ve noticed the lie is important. Last year I could just swing away. This year, if you mess with the target on the ball (I do) you have to take your lie into play. Last year regardless, I could just swing away.

Just what I noticed....

I shot my best round of the year on my 3rd round. I was -10 after 9 holes and finished up at -16. I will tell you, I had 1 eagle and atleast 3 birdies I got from chipping in from off the green. Crazy round for me. Should have been -10/-11.....

I ll be around to tackle round 4 tomorrow if anyone wants to play. I have some stuff to do in the am, and taking some bp in the afternoon, but I ll be around in the evening....

I'm going to need a spotter for round 4, was disconnected the other night. I wont be around to play until sat. night, can play sunday night as well.

I got this last night, but this morning my internet was down so I couldn't see if wwfi08 played the final 2 rounds. I assumed he did not, but if he did, can someone please let me know what the scores were and I will amend.
