I will set up the draft order shortly via random.org (unless someone questions my integrity lol) and we can begin the process.

Go ahead and post what team you want to be. I obviously want to be United unless Reign really wants them; if so, then I'll pick someone else.

i'm in if we have set positions that need to be drafted/played

if we have guys playing forwards all along the midfield its going to get old fast.

Guys can draft whoever they want, but they need to be played at positions they are supposed to play at according to their profiles OR play in real life.

For example, Ronaldo could play LM, RM, LW, RW, CF, or ST....but he wouldn't be allowed at a CM spot. I don't think this will be a problem though.

Thinking this through... should we have teams post their formation and starting lineup when we are complete, to check this?

4312 is:

GK
LB, CB, CB, RB
CM, CM, CM
CF
ST, ST

Now, if a player is a CAM, then it's safe to use him at CM or CF. They are similar positions.

What we aren't wanting to see if someone like Messi or Rooney playing at CM of a 4312, or someone running a 433 and having three forwards up top and three forwards in the midfield.

It honestly shouldn't be an issue. As we draft, if I see an issue (like you've taken 7 forwards and nothing more), then I will ask you what your plan is and see what you're doing.
