I just want the Pistons to be good enough to convince me to watch one or two of their games this season.

Wishful thinking. You see Robin bust his butt, then you see his superior physical body and wonder wtf his problem is. It's not like he doesn't have the physical talent to do it. Stuff like that is frustrating to see.
What do you guys think about Boston?
I think they are going to be improved. They did lose Allen, but adding Terry mostly offsets that. Jeff Green could be a big addition for them and I'm curious to see how Darko will pan out. Could still be a stiff, but maybe they can get something out of him. I think it was a good signing. I'm also a big fan of Sullinger. I get that he has a lot of limitations (grounded, lol) but this guy is a very solid player. Always in good position, uses his body well, has great hands and a diverse skill set. I think Boston got a steal on draft night.

Andre Drummond / Greg Monroe... start watching now because I think that duo is going to be around for a long time. Unfortunately, I don't have any faith in Stuckey and limited faith in Knight.

I honestly haven't watched much since the Billups Iverson trade, but I follow the boxes a bit, and I've never been completely comfortable with Stuckey. Hopefully Drummond develops, he looks like he could be a monster

Flopping is now an official rule:
"Flopping" will be defined as any physical act that appears to have been intended to cause the referees to call a foul on another player. The primary factor in determining whether a player committed a flop is whether his physical reaction to contact with another player is inconsistent with what would reasonably be expected given the force or direction of the contact. Physical acts that constitute legitimate basketball plays (such as moving to a spot in order to draw an offensive foul) and minor physical reactions to contact will not be treated as flops.
Any player who is determined to have committed a flop during the regular season will be subject to the following:
Violation 1: Warning
Violation 2: $5,000 fine
Violation 3: $10,000 fine
Violation 4: $15,000 fine
Violation 5: $30,000 fine
If a player violates the anti-flopping rule six times or more, he will be subject to discipline that is reasonable under the circumstances, including an increased fine and/or suspension.

Gonna go ahead and jump in late here from the first post. I love the Nugz unis, fuggin sweet.
My Spurs? Maaaaaan...they look like they tried to make em sweet, but failed. IDK, they are my fav team, so I am forced to like them. Definitely like the all blacks though the most.
I am looking forward to some Spurs action and hopefully a 16th straight playoff appearance.

Gotta love consistent basketball, fundamental. Boring or not, gotta love it

Just a tid bit to add to the consecutive playoff appearance stat....
The longest streak ever was 22 seasons by the Syracuse Nationals/Philadelphia 76ers (1950-1971) with 2 championships won (1955, 1967).
The longest
active streak is 15 seasons by the San Antonio Spurs from 1998–2012 with 4 championships won (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007) .
The
next longest active streak is 12 seasons by the Dallas Mavericks from 2001–2012 with 1 championship won (2011).
The Boston Celtics went
19 seasons straight from 1951–1969 and
won 11 championships in that run (1957, 1959–1966, 1968–1969)

Stern still has a ways to go, but good start to recapturing his crown as Evil Commish.

That SA jersey is odd... it's like it's missing something on it? City name? Team name? Condom Depot ad? IDK, seems empty.

They tried to match the jerseys with Tim Duncan's personality.

Hmm... NBA thread... non-sim OOTP day...
Miami Heat suck, blown out by the Clippers 99-89. James only scores 11. Terrible.
