Any country in which the ruler referred to himself as "His Excellency President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea, and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular" is alright by me.

True, but you'd still get to say you attended the French Open.DRiccio21 wrote:i'm gonna be in Paris during the French Open tennis tourney.

No, its a Easter Holiday thing. Found it under 10 biggest festivals in Spain and thought it looked kinda odd. Not the type of thing you want to have a picture taken in for obvious reasons.DRiccio21 wrote:yeah that's not my speed. is that a klan thing?brwnbear wrote:What about the white cape thing?DRiccio21 wrote:i do want to do both of those things... especially Tomatina.brwnbear wrote:To bad you wont be there for the running of the bulls (July) or Tomatina (August).

A few suggestions....
1) Do you like to ski/snowboard or ever want to? You won't be too far away from the Alps
2) Northern Italy--Milan, Turin, Venice all are options with being in Paris (Venice is about 6-7 hours by train)
3) Versailles--if you're into history or art at all, I recommend going to the Palace at Versailles, especially with it's proximity to Paris (like 15 miles away). It's on my bucket list.
4) Barcelona--you're not too far away and being a football fan, I believe it was Uuaww who went and said that the Camp Nou was one of the coolest stadiums he'd ever been to. Even if you don't take in a game, a ton to do there, very cultural and historical center, and on the water.
