Considering it says I have one loss i'd say so.
i'm thinking that's the only quality nole included because the polls don't reflect our game
...if it does i'm f-ed

the polls are through week 10
so for the bcs formula, the polls results are through week 10
the loss component for the bcs as stated is "through the last massey pull"

I agree with you Dave, if not top 5, definitely top 10.
But I do see Teewade's point of jumping 16 spots in 1 week.
And not to pick on Louisiana Tech, but really?
People voted him in at #23 with a 7-2 record. Nothing against razorback, and I am not saying it is not impressive to be 7-2 with his team, but he hasn't really beat anyone.
Arizona was his biggest non ranked opponent that he beat. He lost to #20 Hawaii and lost to Idaho.
This is all just my opinion, obviously, but can you guys really tell me that you think a 7-2 Louisiana Tech would beat a 5-3 Michigan State?
Just proves my point that guys are just voting based on record alone and not taking into account who the teams have actually faced!
You have to take Strength of Schedule into your voting.
Again, no disrespect to coach razorback.

I dont HAVE to take anything into account when I vote that i don't want to. No offense to anyone.
To be honest, i forgot to vote this week. That said, stop telling "me" how to vote.
Greatest thing about DOC, and i mean this, is I believe he truly doesnt care where he is ranked

i don't think anyone is telling anyone how to vote.
pointing stuff like this out is what makes for debates and increased interest in the league. if it informs people who weren't aware than great, if people don't give a shit and want to vote how they've been voting, then that is cool too.
and it could have been VVV or Nick and i would have made the exact same post... has nothing to do with Doc or any team or anything in particular.
if you don't like it then don't read it... that said, stop telling 'us' what we can or can't post about.

I'm of the opinion that one of the 100 things that make this league THE best one of its kind around is guys can vote how they want to.
At times a guys "swing" vote might be whether they like a guy or not. I'll admit it. most wont. If I have played you or have seen you play, and you're a cheeseball, I dont care if you're 5400-0, I am not voting you in the top 25.
Sorry if guys dont like that. Thats my right in this league.

When I did my UAR rankings, I had a REALLY hard time with the last 3-4 teams. This is not an isolated incident, it seems to be a problem year in and year out (if you can even call it a problem). One of the major problems with voting is we have guys who today are 9-2, and others who are 5-1. How do you compare those two teams? It isn't like real life where everyone plays and you get to see all the weeks results, we just don't have that luxury.
Personally, I dock massively for teams who are behind. If you are 4+ games behind, you will not get my vote.

you're entitled to do as you please, obviously.
my disgust has nothing to do with anyone who puts effort into their vote. if you are putting effort into it and have a rationale than do as you please. i just think its obvious by looking at the votes that most people are just hitting buttons to get points.

I completely understand your point, but if there is a real cheeseball here in the NDL, why are they still part of the league?
We owe it to each other to weed those people out of this league.
And AJ, in my post, I did include:

So I was clearly not telling people how to vote. I was voicing my opinion, which is one of the things I like best about this league. We all have a voice!

None taken. I actually haven't voted for myself in the top 25 a single time this season for that exact same reason.

99% sure you based your OOC at trying to get Arkansas back anyways.

Do you guys, or is there even a way to release who voted for who in the final ballot? Even if it would just be peoples top 5?

Everyone's final top 25 ballot is available to view, just like in real life.

I am the same way and if you are sitting at 5-0 right now I most likely would not vote for you in the top 25 due to the lack of games played, but I also look in the scheduling thread just to see if there was an effort.
Also it was hard for me to jump Pitt up that much after a great week. I put him right at #15 and come next week he'll probably jump into the top 10. I just have a hard time voting someone at #20 one week and then in the top 10 the next based off two great wins.

I go by last week and vote accordingly. And do consider unplayed games.
