Re: First Patch Info

Ah well, as long as its fixed by time I have someone that can throw the ball...

Yeah I dont think its that bad...there arent any elevated passing numbers like last couple of years. It forces you to make better reads and not think you can just squeeze it into any small opening in a zone like years past. Im enjoying the challenge this year.buckeye76 wrote:Try not to be a debbie downer.....brett11253 wrote:Haha I'll hold my breath.![]()
And for that fact the game isnt that bad, I ll take this game over the past 3 for sure. I know early I thought it was a cluncky type game, but now as I played the game more Im liking it more and more.
THAT LEAVES ME OUT.RB4SC22 wrote:big time... Its like linebackers and DBs knock down balls at the most ridiculous angles, but it is a video game and they cant master all the dimensions I'm sure. Im starting to get a hang of it though, just have to be really smart with passing, and be a good improviserautiger730 wrote:
+1 more.
Line of sight in this game is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off. How can a DB with their back turned: 1. immediately know when the ball has been thrown and 2. break directly to the receiver it has been thrown to and 3. have enough closing speed to make a pick or bat the ball? The receivers sometimes don't even attempt to catch the ball if I can't switch fast enough, most of the time they get hit in the head by the ball.

the problem is if they created the game for the NDL type player, the masses would probably hate it. EA wouldn't do that.UCWeiser wrote:+1Hoos wrote:The LBs batting down passes that are meant for 10+ yards behinds them kills me. LB's do the instant change of direction as well. Yesterday, I saw an OLB moving left into his area in a cover two and I had a WR running a slant behind him. My WR was about to move into an opening in the zone so I threw the ball and the LB instantly changed direction from left to right and leaped about 42 inches off the ground and diagonally to his right to knock the ball down. So much for the much vaunted "Locomotion" system that required players to build up to top speed.Hoos wrote:The LBs batting down passes that are meant for 10+ yards behinds them kills me. Yeh, it seems like it is all based on your timing of when you throw what they'll do.jsence2 wrote:
Btw, anybody else seeing their wideouts on the outside have comeback/curl routes....and they just turn it into a streak on their own???
Yeah, if you want to throw it as early as possible, you have to throw when they start the break. if you throw it anytime before they start it, you will over throw it like you are throwing a streak.UCWeiser wrote:Yeh, it seems like it is all based on your timing of when you throw what they'll do.jsence2 wrote:
