They ARE my team....but I took Texas when this thing started like 4 years ago, and we've all kept the same schools ever since it began. So get out of my thread.

Earlier in the week Nebraska rebounded from a 38-31 defeat in week 2 vs Florida (cuz demps and rainey are queers) with a win over Kent State.

Well isn't THIS just a dandy bug....

So last week, the Longhorns lost their stud starting HB to a season-ending collarbone injury....or so they thought.

Fastforward to their game with TCU, after Fos Whittaker goes down.....the coach pulls up the injury report to see how long he's going to be out....and sees that Cody Johnson isn't listed anymore....

.....so I reinserted him into the starting lineup and look who is healthy again?!?!

The Texas Longhorns steal one in a tough, hard-fought Lone Star State showdown, beating #10 TCU 37-34 in overtime. TCU trailed 7-0 after one, but led 21-7 at the half after stopping Texas on 4th and goal from the half yd line. Texas struggled at times, but got it going once Cody Johnson and Tre Newton got hot, and they cut the lead to 21-17. However, Texas finally got into the endzone to make it 24-21 with 4:33 left. TCU would go right down and score with 3:05 left to go up 28-24. Texas threw a pick with about 2:10 left and it looked to be over. However, horrible clock management and Texas' timeouts allowed them to hold TCU to a FG to make it 31-24 with only 39 seconds left. Texas needed a miracle, and they got it. After a nice kick return, they left a corner route wide open for a big gain, and then on the next play, they let a slot wideout go right down the seam as they only had one safety deep, and he caught it and went in untouched to tie the game. Texas got two sacks to close out regulation.

In overtime, TCU was held to a FG, and Texas converted on 3rd and 6 when they hit their WR for a big gain down to the 4. Cody Johnson took it on his shoulders from there, rumbling 4 yds, breaking two tackles, and dragging another into the endzone to win the game.

Foswhitt Whittaker had a great game before he got hurt, rusing for 131 yds on 15 carries, including a 75 yd TD up the gut. And while Cody Johnson came in and got tough yards and the winning TD, it was third string HB Tre Newton who gets the MVP, as he electrified the stagnant Texas offense by getting 84 yds and two touchdowns on just 5 carries, including a 35 yd run the gut.

Waiting an extra day to give Oracle and Weiser a chance to play.

I've put Oracle on autopilot....if he doesn't post or get with Steve by 9 pm est Thursday, Steve will play the CPU and I'll advance as soon as he's done.

I will log on and do my stuff first thing in the morning.

Oracle, you are able to remove yourself; I did that so that he could play tomorrow night and not have to wait until I got home.

He's also in bed right now, he has to be up in 7 hours.
