In the past, a created team picked up the rivalries of whatever team it replaced. I'm hoping that a created team could add another created team to it's rivalry list....since "winning record against rivals" is a pitch promise it is always nice to play all teams on your list.

Is there any leeway with using a roster other than the Average Joe template? For instance, being able to us any roster of a team rated "C+" or lower (just using C+ for the example)? I haven't looked at the roster, but I was thinking about that on my way home from work. So at least we can get a roster that fits our playstyle, yet it's still not overpowered. (maybe even require us to say which roster we used in case you want to check it)

And last question for a noob to this teambuilder thing... does the year selection matter? Is that a reference to the start of the school or what?

I don't think the year matters. I think that's just for people that want to recreate historic teams. As for the rosters, I would much rather have everyone use the same roster template just to level the playing field.

On another note, dramatic news came out of the Big East media relations office today. The Big East is pleased to announce that the South Philadelphia Institute of Technology (SPIT) will be joining the conference in football for the 2011-2012 season. The conference, in an obvious attempt to sway attention to itself and away from the more established power conferences, takes on the fledgling South Philly school despite it's having an official enrollment of only 92 and having most classes held in the basement of notorious South Philly dive bar, Paddy's Pub. The "school" was able to successfully get a waiver from the NCAA on most of the requirements to be an FBS participant for unknown reasons. There is rampant speculation that school President/Head Football Coach/Professor Emeritus Frank Reynolds has "some shady shit" on the NCAA leadership. The Greenmen, as the school's athletic teams with be known, will play their home games at a local high school which has been renamed "Paddy's Pub Field". The school released the following images of their team's uniforms.

Go ahead and pick a conference. I think I'm probably going to go with 4-5 16 team super conference with championship games and all. So there's going to be some significant re-alignment. I'll be sure to post what I'm thinking as we get closer to starting. I won't do anything without getting thoughts from you guys on things.

Also, I probably won't start the dynasty until we get a fully named roster.
