Great site for getting the NBA salaries....question Dave--what will you do for players who are FAs in real life, league minimum?
haven't thought it thru that far.

likely either league minimum or their last seasons salary.

Ooooh, idea time.

We should be allowed to trade kept players for draft picks. So if Niddler keeps Lebron, he loses a 1st round pick, but he can then trade Lebron to another team for one of there kept players or just for like a 1st, 2nd, and 5th round pick.

Getting crazy, I love it.

most likely... we'd also likely have to do avg salary of contract for guys that are making 2 mil this year and 10 mil next year to make that fair and prevent guys from taking advantage

for example:
(based on JSence's site)
Derrick Rose makes 5.546 this year, 6.993 next year, 9.091 the following year so we'd combine all 3 of those and divide by 3 and Rose would be a 7.21 guy.

again, all this stuff is subject to change and i'm just letting you guys know the ideas i've been tossing around

Maybe I misunderstood...so we would keep a guy and then the players all not kept would go into the draft?

Well I'm saying if you kept Lebron, he's like 18 million I think. So odds are all your guys would go into the draft other than him.

Since you kept Lebron, he's a first round pick, so you'd lose your first round pick and get picks 2-12.

For me, if I kept Wall and Jackson and Patterson, that's a 2nd/2nd/4th round. So I'd have those three and then pick in round one, skip round two/three/four, and then pick rounds 5-12

I would vote to change some locations of coaches to balance out the east and the west....I mean the East doesn't even compare to over here. :|

The hornets volunteer. We are the obvious choice, as New Orleans was in the Eastern Conference just a few years ago. We can even make it effective immediately.

Yeah, the West is much stronger...but the East did just get a big boost with Harder taking over for the Raptors.

we can realign teams into new leagues, but owners will remain in the same cities

we can figure out the numbers to make it fair after the season

I say leave it as it is. Some guys (myself included) are playing more tough games against the West than easy games against the East. Everyone has to play each other at least once, so it doesn't really matter what conference you're in. The good owners will get into the playoffs either way.

Ok? The season isn't over yet. Let's see how the records look once everyone has played everyone else. Like I said, the schedules aren't balanced; I have one game against Minnesota, Cleveland, and Memphis, (teams near the bottom), and I have two games against the Suns, Jazz, and Hawks. Meanwhile, you have some teams in the West who have lots of two-game series with lesser teams in the East and West, and only one game against the tougher teams. Their records will get a boost over mine. It doesn't mean that because their records are better that they should suddenly be moved to another conference so that they can make the playoffs. I would say, leave the leagues the way they are.

i was somewhat kidding.....

jacking up 3's up 20 is weak, however if guys are gonna keep pushing, people should let up. one cold streak and your lead is evaporated.

also, notsaying you specifically, butguys who play 2-3 or 3-2 zone with any frequency have no right to whine about 3s
