I have to agree. That's why I haven't even bothered to hook up my new bluetooth headset to my PS3. (I don't play any other PS3 games) It's partially because I don't care to talk to people about non-NCAA related stuff, but the other side of it that drives me nuts are all of the guys that simply can't say "good job" or "great play." It's normally more like them bitching and moaning and blaming EA for how bad the game sucks. I don't need to hear from someone that just got butt hurt, I'm very aware of the issues with the game.

I will say this, I do miss a few of the great conversations that I had back in the PS2 days when people seemed to be open to talking about ways to get better at the game. Tips/tricks and even talking about play calling and strategy. I always found that playing with guys like that really helped increase my own game play.

I used to use a mic when I played in 360 leagues but most people go silent during the games and only would talk after games. One reason I don't use a mic here is that I haven't had time to buy one.

When playing a shooter the people you are talking to are on your team. Talking to your opponent when playing NCAA is like playing a shooter and talking to the people you are trying to kill, but that is just me.

That. I also like to concentrate and I've always HATED the half-hearted, fake apologies I got when a play had the audacity to work.

I just don't really want to talk when I'm playing NCAA. I don't really give a crap about wins and losses. Don't get me wrong, I like winning as much as the next guy. But I've been Ball State, Utah State, and Indiana so that should tell you where winning really stands in my grand scheme of things. For NCAA, I just prefer to relax, call my plays, and play the game. About the only people I talk to during NCAA are beefy and Biffy. I used to talk to backwards when he was in the league too.

I use my headset constantly in COD. To me it's a much more social game and it's good to call out campers and such. Plus it's fun to piggyback Beefy's "Shut up stupid".

On a side note....when will people quit blaming EA for anything? I've played way too many games and realize sometimes it seems like NOTHING will go my way. But with this game, you can get down 21-0 and make a comeback. A lot of guys just let it snowball. Outside of fumbles, what can EA "control"? And if we didn't have random fumbles and penalties, what would be the point of playing?

Nothing and it infuriates me. Weird shit happens in games - real and video games - there isn't any "EA God" manipulating things. Yeah, there is definitely a momentum factor ... you.
