3 more faaaacking days
Re: 3 more faaaacking days
Yea, my first game is on ESPN3 so I have to do the computer to TV thing. I just have a VGA cable that goes from my computer to the TV. I let the sound just go thru the computer speakers.

Re: 3 more faaaacking days
What are you guys making food wise for the opening Saturday???
I want to try some new stuff this year.
Last year's go to Saturday was a mix of Armadillo Eggs, the marinated flank steak and tortillas, and home made wings and queso.
Need some new shit this year, lets hear it.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM, cheddar burgers.
May have to make some of those this weekend with the armadillo eggs.
BWW is damn good as well. I usually get their buckets of boneless hot as hell sauce ones. So damn good.

no.
he was at a school with MUCH better talent and a superstar QB (Pat White) and we were playing with absolutely no depth/speed on our team and still in the growing phase of our program. this is probably the second year where UConn has had an actual 2 deep with talent (before it was a decent starter with a walk on like backup) on it and speed certainly isn't an issue with UConn anymore.

You could have asked, has he ever even tested Rodriguez? Cuz that'd get the same answer.trendon wrote:Has Edsell ever beat Rodriguez?DRiccio21 wrote:UConn-Mich game, PUMPED!

Re: 3 more faaaacking days
its a dumb question tho. the teams weren't remotely close in talent back then. UConn had a couple nice players with a bunch of overachieving scrubs and we played an extremely conservative style of football which kept us close in many games but got us blown out when we played better teams (like WVU).
now UConn goes into the game with probably more talent. if RRod blows him out this time then i'll question whether Uconn can't handle that style of football.
all i know is one coach is fighting to keep his job and the other had this written about him today, "Rumors continue that if coach Jack Del Rio doesn't keep his job in Jacksonville for 2011, University of Connecticut coach Randy Edsall might be a candidate to replace him. Edsall, who is 66-65 in 10 seasons at UConn, was the Jags' secondary coach from 1994-97"

Re: 3 more faaaacking days
Armadillo eggs: just get a crap load of your favorite bacon, some good cream cheese, and a lot of fresh jalepenos. Core the jalepenos(if you dont like the seeds, I personally do due to the kick but some dont), fill em with the cream cheese, put them back together and wrap in the bacon. Bake for like 15,20 minutes at 375 or 400 until you see the bacon crisp. Not really a recipe just wing it. Cant go wrong. So freakin good.Easportsbama wrote:Recipe please
The queso is just the classic rotel and velveeta. Sometimes I add ground beef or jimmy dean spicy sausage pieces for more kick.
Wings I just use whatever I like on mine like cayenne, franks sauce to dredge, garlic powder, black pepper, flour, paprika, salt, buttermilk, butter, fry em at 375 for 15 minutes.
Didnt we have a "Gameday Recipe" thread??? If not,we need one.
Man Im freakin hungry.

Re: 3 more faaaacking days
They are insanely good.
My brother in law who is from Texas taught me the recipe. Supposedly they are a huge staple in the Big 12 country tailgating parties.
Nole about 116 of them in the Keys when we made em.
Another variation I tried during the super bowl was wrapping that entire recipe above in Jimmy Dean's sausage, shredded cheese, and bread crumb. Was good but a little to much and I enjoy the naked eggs a lot more.

This is what the Jimmy Dean eggs look like:

And this is what the naked ones look like before being cooked but add a good thick cut bacon:
