Arsenal have asked for an extension to finish buying Welbeck.

And just after the deadline, Valencia tweeted out a welcome to Negrado from ManCity, so it appears they sold him.

Blind deal is official

And....no Vidal :(
Still won't make Europe.

And you still won't win

Champions League
Europa League
Premier League
FA Cup
Capital One Cup
Manchester Derby

So suck it
I'll take those odds. $50 that we don't win ANY of those?

Looks like the Falcao deal is a loan with a purchase amount agreed upon if ManU decide to do so.

Rooney and RVP have basically been put on notice

Pretty interesting roster for the US' friendly tomorrow against the Czechs. There's even a college kid in there.

GOALKEEPERS (3): Cody Cropper (Southampton), Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)
DEFENDERS (6): John Brooks (Hertha Berlin), Timmy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt), Greg Garza (Club Tijuana), Fabian Johnson (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Michael Orozco (Puebla), Tim Ream (Bolton)
MIDFIELDERS (7): Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes), Joe Corona (Club Tijuana), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Julian Green (Hamburg), Emerson Hyndman (Fulham), Alfredo Morales (Ingolstadt), Brek Shea (Stoke City)
FORWARDS (5): Jozy Altidore (Sunderland), Joe Gyau (Borussia Dortmund II), Jordan Morris (Stanford), Rubio Rubin (Utrecht), Bobby Wood (1860 Munich)

Really glad Gyau got a chance, I was throwing a list of names at Daniel of the "future stars" for the USA a few months ago, and he was one of the first I named. I hear he looked very impressive.

I'm watching it right now. Gyau, Bedoya, Green, and Diskerud looked good. Brooks was solid but a little too adventurous with the ball for a CB in my opinion. There were a couple times where he was way upfield like a midfielder. Altidore looked healthy. Fabian Johnson is so good. He may be the US' best player right now.

The players I'm most interested in watching over the next two years leading up to the Olympics:

Gyau
Luis Gil
Wil Trapp
Lynden Gooch
William Packwood
Juan Ocegueda
Gideon Zalalem (PLEASE make this happen, Jurgen!)

Gideon isn't happening. Unless he basically commits the US, theres no way his dad gets the passport in time without some serious intervention.

You do not touch the Zlatan. Only Zlatan may touch Zlatan.

If you haven't seen it yet, go find the video of Buffalo's overtime win this past weekend. They pulled off the FIFA 11 kickoff goal

The keeper for Manchester City kind of looks like Zack from Saved by the Bell

Milan won 5-4 in a match that saw both teams finish with 10 men, a bizarre own goal to end it....and the goal of the fucking year by Jeremy Menez. It's about three min into the highlights, and your jaw will drop.

Absolutely brilliant, I've watched it about 100 times and my mind still can't wrap around how he did that.

Yup, and when the former president of Real Madrid starts talking about how "fed up" Ronaldo is with the culture there and that he's changed his mind about going back to United sooner rather than later....

Calling it now: United facilitates deal for Falcao to Madrid next summer, and Ronaldo comes home. They have the same agent, Madrid wants Falcao....can't wait.

Would ronaldo really wanna play for a team that won't be in the Champions League? He's got a ton of records in reach...
