I've done a lot of time away from the family since I joined the Army 28 years ago (over 10 years away with field exercises/deployments/schooling). Tonight feels kind of like one of those times when I was preparing to leave the next day. But this time it's not me leaving, it's the man-child leaving this time. We are heading to Salina, KS tomorrow to get the boy set up in his dorm room for his stay at Kansas State. This will be extremely hard for the wifey, and me to an extent as I am used to saying goodbye, as she hasn't spent any time away from him in his almost 21 years on this earth. She's already shedding tears and it hasn't even happened yet. I may end up leaving her on the side of the road if she is going to cry the whole way back, so if anyone needs a great cook you may be able to find her on highway 83 leading up to Nebraska

When his medical malpractice trial concluded in April, Dr. Essam Quraishi left an Orange County civil courtroom in victory. Swiftly and unanimously, 12 jurors had decided that the gastroenterologist had not been responsible for the death of a patient.
That was before his lawyer, Robert McKenna III, appeared in an online celebration video, bragging of his work and saying the case involved “a guy that was probably negligently killed, but we kind of made it look like other people did it.”
Citing McKenna’s remarks, the judge who presided over the trial has vacated the verdict, ordering the case back to court. “I think I have to protect the system and say plaintiffs deserve a new trial,” Orange County Superior Court Judge James Crandall said at an Aug. 4 hearing.

I'm an NDL guy, only will play OOTP in an NDL sanctioned league.
Billy, get us an NDL league!!!
I love the NDL too, for NCAA, the way we used to do it.
I am not a fan for OOTP. But that is just my opinion.
If we had an NDL app, that may be a different story! ~Queue Holmey

Atlanta man calls police to complain about cold McDs fries, arrested for murder warrant
The disagreement happened at the McDonald's in Kennesaw. Police body cam video shows a man complaining about his fries.
"I tried the fries, they were lukewarm, but they weren't hot," said the man in the video, identified as 24-year-old Antoine Sims.
When officers searched for Sims' name in a law enforcement database, they got an alert there was a warrant out for his arrest.
Sims was charged in the murder of a woman in Johns Creek, Adelisa Muratovic, in 2018. Her body was found inside a burning car. Police were searching for three people in connection with her murder. Sims ran from police and was later captured by US Marshals in Wisconsin. Sims was currently out on bond, but had a warrant out of Fulton County for failure to appear.

Sign my kids are getting big.
We play 2 on 1 hoops in the driveway a lot but haven't done so probably since before the summer since it's so dang hot. Get out there today for the 1st time. I usually go out in my flip flops, not like I'm running and jumping much. 3 minutes in, one of them steps on my shoe and breaks my favorite pair of flip flops. I think it's a fluke, so I go in and put my backup pair on. I come back out, legit 1st play and 5 seconds back into playing, get stepped on again and breaks my back up flip flop.

In one of the most important studies conducted in America, Chick-fil-A comes in dead last for drive thru efficiency and wait time.
While us Taco Bell shareholders and investors are grateful for the award and accolades, my world is turned upside down with this news.
Chick-fil-A makes us feel fast and efficiency with their niceness and Disney like experience drive thru process while making us wait longer.
Fascinating!
