nick wrote:this all started because i told you that losing 1 player in a 9 man lineup isnt a big deal. 11% of the lineup apparently runs your high octane super bb/hit team.

Then I suggest Diaz to replace someone whos doing shit like say Kendall. you go, "wahh sample size".. thats arguably the stupidest thing you said. DUH!! you wont know if someone can sustain it unless they keep playing!!

Vs righties

Bill Phillips - IF - 85 AB - 271/354/365
Kendall - IF - 237 - 194/233/333

Phillips sample size might be "low" but an educated coach would see that someone with 237 abs vs righties with a OBP if .233!!! would consider a change. why not give the guy with 87 abs (1/3) and the .354 a shot? Like seriously? this is common sense 101.

Diaz - OF - 58 AB - 310/403/431
Oglethorpe - OF - 221 - 240/298/430

once again, small sample size but the guy is a monster thus far. Oglethorpe has shown dick and 403/1000 >> 298/1000.

I dont care what you do with your team, just dont insult my intelligence then make those snarky comments about how i know so much. I know how to adjust apparently you dont.

As for your stupid hypothetical, I dont care cause you never showed me ABs. It could be 10 abs to 300 cause youre so dramatic like that.

1) Diaz has no speed at all and is a 1B, not an OF. If you think he should start in the OF (or over Oglethorpe) then you're absolutely insane
2) Kendall is a highly rated player who is slumping and I need to see if he can turn it around before I give him a big money deal. Is that ok with you, or should I be looking for more from my #7/#8 hitter? You think I should give "a shot" to a guy who has been on my roster multiple seasons and is 33, and bench the 26 year old who is one of my more popular players. Right.
3) Diaz can play 1B and DH. He replaces either Gomez or Paco (lmao). You choose.

Btw.....
nick wrote:    you picked for me man!! plus your question is so dumb. you ask me who id pick. duh #2 had better stats. I dont care that #1 had 6x as many abs you asked who i would rather have  ..if that was my team #2 would have more than 66 abs and the 1st batter wouldnt have around 400 like a smart coach would do

I'm so glad you think that way. Because hitter #1 is Diaz. Hitter #2 is Gomez ;). Hitter #1 has 66 ABs this year.

Im gonna reply to this, and thats it i promise. i feel bad for everyone else they dont wanna read this shit, hell im tired of writing it. you just have so many excuses for why your team sucks.

1. Barron is DH, Oglethorpe is RF. move Barron to OF and Diaz to DH, solves that
2. Kendall is slumping is apparently a consistent thing. hes had OPS+ of 94, 110, 97 and 65 the last 4 seasons. so 1 year he was above average. and you gave him a big deal??
3. Diaz goes to DH and Barron goes to OF replacing Oglethorpe i already explained this to you

as for your 2nd part, I made a mistake cause i didnt even read it. I would probably take #1. why? .403 OBP. OBP >> and i go for recent success. .403 > .336 by a long shot  .. I just assumed when you said the AB shit it was some trick.

That's cool though, i don't know how you are able to find that old info, good stuff.

I had 2 games for a World Series title in 2010 then never came close again. Woe is me.

1) Paco's not a good fielder. My defense isn't the greatest so I'd rather not make it worse by benching a better defender (who is also making 15m btw)
2) I didn't give Kendall a big deal, he's on arbitration. I said I'm trying to see if he comes out of it BEFORE I sign him to a deal.
3) Not going to risk Paco getting hurt (or sacrifice more defense) by putting Diaz at DH. Again, it's not just about hitting.

And did you ever think that maybe I'm shopping Diaz around to get something I need more than him? ;)

Have a good night....and I won't lie, the charts are cool; good work.
