I think of my Italian grandfather and telling stories of being called a “wop”
A couple of years ago I was at a Rangers-Kings game at Staples (with a Rangers jersey) and on the way out a Kings fan yelled "Go back to NY you fucking dago wop."
We all just laughed at the guy (who seemed quite serious and confused why we thought it was funny) - do people think that gets a rise out of folks similar to other "slurs"? Is this 1930 and I'm a fresh off the boat immigrant trying to make it in America?

I can get Miller as ratings wise you can find close for cheaper but Vidro I don’t get. I almost signed him last sim but I am against my budget and will kill me for a team that isn’t really a contender.

I’m very happy to see some offensive production so far. How long we can keep it up is the question.

Vidro was horrible for me the last 3 months of the season.... so he can suck it.
Same with all the other guys sitting in FA. Suck it.

It’s just lazy to see a bunch of green dudes and say it’s loaded. 95% of those wouldn’t start on my average at best team. Miller and Vidro and a few others I get but when there is a comp tagged SS who can’t hit .200 or will have a wrc+ of 80 then I don’t care if he is green. It just shows the ratings system in the game is flawed more than a reflection of talent

I literally just posted their last year productions in WAR yesterday. Not saying WAR is a fool proof way of analyzing production but there is an entire lineup of 3+ WAR guys sitting out there
I legit don’t get the other side to this argument… there should never be a player like that sitting in free agency… not 1 of them
I’ve been trying to trade some of my higher priced guys all year. I’d love to be able to sign a few of them

I get that but someone like Ramiro Perez you can literally get those ratings from a rule 5 pick or a minor league FA. I get he has had good years but I am always going to bet on guys talent for good or bad. No way I sign a guy like that for his demand because the game says he is a 63 when you can find someone that looks just like him that the game says he is a 42.
If you just look at stars and depth at positions besides OF and 1B this is the lowest talent the league has had.

I'm going to need you to end your two decade hiatus before you can chime in on league issues.

Biggest issue is the guys in FA that aren't playing need to decay faster IMO but it is what it is. I'm gonna take the Swiss approach and say there aren't THAT many good players but they aren't THAT inflated either.

Ramiro Perez was an All Star player while in SD. Not sure what happened while in NE.
