Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal is a done deal. Congrats to the Gunners on a great signing. Happy it wasn't Liverpool.

Not to mention there are a lot of good outside backs in that league

They're saying the scousers could get Shaqiri
This is bad for two reasons:
1) Means scouserpool gets a good player
2) Means Bayern free up resources to make a big run at Vidal

Watching Brazil It's hard to believe but they just aren't real good. They're a decent team with a superstar and when he's gone they're not good. They're not much better than most of the other teams in the world that only have one or two really high level players.

Oh, and predictions for tomorrow? I'm going with Argentina 2-1.

Or Argentina with the difference being Argentina plays excellent defense to offset their offensive struggles.

I just think Germany played the game of their collective lives in that last match and they're bound to regress a bit. Even without Mascherano, Argentina's defense is solid and unified. I think Messi will have his moments but someone else will unexpectedly step up and score a couple for Argentina.

2-1 Germany. I'd like to see Argentina win in Brazil, but Germany has looked fantastic all tournament.

Except Argentina has two superstars (Messi and Di Maria), and we saw how much they struggled without one of them. Di Maria is set to make a ton of money; either from a transfer to United (they've agreed to personal terms, just waiting for a transfer fee to be agreed) or in a pay raise from Madrid.

I have Germany winning 3-1 in extra time. Germans will score on a set piece, Messi will pull off some amazing goal, and then the Germans will get two in extra time.

Interesting timing on moving the World Cup discussion from the World Cup thread to this one.

USA over Ghana wins 'best sports moment' at the ESPY's?
i turned it on to see that and i immediately turned it off.
if that was the best moment we had a pretty shitty sports year of moments

Fucking Espy's are stupid anyway.

It was up against Rivera's last game, and Durants MVP speech. I like the Espy's as a whole, but I would've picked either of those 2 over that win. And I'm a soccer fan.

Durant's speech as a greater sports moment?
Get outta here lol.
