You act as if people who don't go to college are complete drooling retards. Get off your high horse. You went to The University of Texas. No one gives a shit. It doesn't make you a better person or any smarter than anyone else; college educated or not.

ajalves wrote:i know you say its not about offense Dave, but it sure seemed like it was the last 6 minutes last night. i mean did Miami call any sets? I mean ANY? It was like watching a pick up game.

Its tough when Wade and Lebron and "basically" the same player.

There was a specific posession late when they (Heat) must have passed 7 times in a 5 second span.

Bad offensive strategy if you ask me. I mean why not continue to feed Bosh or Wade or whoever in the post. they arent doubling off wade or lebron. I mean surely one of the "top 20" players in the league can handle someone 1 v 1 in the post.

For heavens sake please stop running the pick n roll out at the 3 point line.

also, make you free throws.

I thnk Lebron is the best current NBA player. However, he doesnt seem to own his defeats real well. They asked them about if the finals were a choke, and he ande wade played it off. One time I want to hear them say "give Dallas credit, but yes, i think we choked"

Lastly, Jordan was hated at his peak too. Maybe not to this level, but he wasnt talked about as graciously as he is now

I actually enjoyed the cavs owners tweet about the life lesson.....there are no shortcuts (although he needs to let it go already)
I agree with AJ. I d like to see them say, "Give Dallas credit they were the better team this series" or "Give Dallas credit they made shots and we didnt"....etc.

Im not going to hate on LBJ cause Im a cavs fan, did I like how he went on ESPN to announce he was going to South Beach...no, did I like he left Cleveland after preaching Cleveland...home town...etc.....no. To each his own. Hes allowed to do whatever he wants as a free agent.

My NBA basketball IQ is horrible so I really cant comment on the schemes but Miami's offense reminded me of watching Cleveland in the 4th quarter of years past.

My dislike for LeBron stems from last off-season and the amount of love he gets around here. I can't name names but I've read Jordan comparisons here before and...

Wade is one of my top 5 favorite players right now and has been for a while so it sucks rooting against him but all this "King", "We are all witnesses", talking like LeBron is the greatest thing since sliced bed will make a lot of people root against him.

And again, I've taken so much shit on these boards about Kobe and the Shaq/Gasol stuff that it was just a sweet thing to see LeBron go down the way he did with such a great supporting cast.

I'm almost over it, but the pictures still make my day

I believe Wade and Bosh both credited Dallas as being the better team. I don't recall Lebron saying it, as he was busy speaking about how hard he works, etc. One reporter actually tried to pin Wade with a question something like "do you believe the Mavs showed that a team is better than individuals?" And Wade flipped it around to explain that the Heat were also a team and the Mavs were just the better team.

I maybe the only one that thinks this way but I absolutely put the blame on the Heat as a team rather than a single individual. From coaching to the bench. I remember basketball as a team sport. Like AJ stated earlier what about their half court sets? When they practice do they just scrimmage and not learn plays? You have the top 3 players in the league of those positions and you don't have designed plays set up? I got a kick out of the match ups last night and nothing got exploited.
When Lebron made the choice to come in the league and bypass college i was his biggest critic. I thought he was too young and over hyped. Boy was i wrong :o after his first season i was sold and he made me want to cheer him on. I was on this wagon for sure :D . Pro Lebron and Boo Kobe. I probably would have supported his move to South Beach if Cleveland wasn't willing to keep him at all cost but that wasn't the case. He wanted to go the easy route to get his rings. Good for him but I quit rooting for him that day because of the way he did it. I don't think Lebron is the top basketball player in the league. I do think he his the MOST talented. The 26 year old kid has minimal basketball experience in the NBA and yet people think he is the next MJ. Micheal Jordan struggled for years to get a championship but he stuck it out worked hard and grew from his experiences. He was fearless and wanted to win at all costs. Not give up and have other all stars carry him. When the game was on the line he wanted the ball win or lose he was willing to put it on his shoulders. Lebron is still a kid my eyes, will he grow from this? Who knows maybe after Wade retires and then maybe he can take over prove that he his the best BASKETBALL player in the league rather than the MOST talented player. So did Lebron fail this season in the playoffs? No the kid played awesome and helped put Miami in all those games. Yeah he may not have contributed when it really counted late in games but he proved that he wasn't ready for that yet because he left Cleveland and wasn't ready to take that on. He clearly didn't want that pressure. Some may not agree with me and that's fine but in my opinion you need experience which will help you grow as player, the good with the bad.

all i ask for is consistency.

go back and find posts and call people out for stuff they say... don't just say 'I KNOW YOU CALLED HIM JORDAN!!!' 'YOU GUYS LOVE HIM AND NEVER SAY HE DOES WRONG!!!'

i have absolutely no problem being made to look bad when i'm wrong... thats part of putting your neck out there. i thought they were going to win it all, i was wrong.

I stand by my jordan comment. People go off like these guys are in their mid 30's, they're not. They'll get better, they'll be back next year. They lost as a team. Jordan was incredible but let's not act like his teams weren't stacked. Pippen, Rodman, both amazing at their positions. Relax with it a bit. Like I said Heat will be back multiple times and will win multiple times.

Jordans teams were stacked?

Pippen was a stud......the rest were straight up role players. They might have been really good at their roles, but were only above average players.

Rodman was amazing?

what were you 9 when he was in his prime

I understand being a fan because of his superior basketball skills but I find it hard to believe anyone can defend LeBron as a person. Actions speak louder than words and LeBron has a history of failing to take responsibility for his actions. He is also so out of touch with reality that its hard to imagine him a sympathetic figure.

when Jordan left, the next year they almost made the finals without him, they lost to the Knicks, and even one of the commentators said that it was fixed for the Knicks to win by the refs...oh ya that was with Pippen leading and the role players

When LeBron made the comments in the post game sitting with D'Wade to all the haters how they will all have to go back to their regular lives and still have their problems and he gets to wake up tomorrow and be him...as if...

He is a douchebag of a human being. Period! However, I completely agree that he is one of the best to ever play basketball in the NBA. No argument at all there.
