Oh that was never in question. However, I never know Moyes was THIS BAD.

And I've suffered through bad managers (most recently Allegri at Milan, who basically did the same thing Moyes is doing to United) and coaches. Outside of Gillispie, I've never seen a coach just run a team into the ground like this, this fast. The scary thing is, if we miss Europa League as well, the financial hit for this club could be borderline catastrophic.

Moyes just isn't cut out for this job. He's making fundamental mistakes. It's almost as if he's trolling Man U fans right now.

i dont know much about soccer in terms of the middle players and shit, but learning about the sport you grow to like/respect it more. Plus theres wayyyyy more talented soccer players than any other sport in the world so tournaments are actually decent.

As for Ronaldo, used to dislike him, but hes the man.

I started watching around 7-8 years ago. Every year that amount I watch has increased. Thinking about how much attention I pay to it now, I'd say that I've watched around 35-40 full matches this year. (by watch, I consider having them on while I'm working @ home as watching too) By comparison, I've watched about 25 hours of the NBA this season. Maybe 5 hours of college basketball. Soccer is easily my 2nd most watched sport... and I'd venture to say that the only reason it's not #1 is because every Sunday is worth 6 hours of the Red Zone channel.

Ditto. For me it's UK basketball/football, and then soccer. And then NFL.

I used to think it was a stupid sport, then I went to college and my best friend my freshman year was on the UK soccer team, got me to sit down and watch a Champions League match, can't remember who United was playing but I was mesmerized by the talent and skill they possessed (Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Keane, etc). Became a United fan that day. Now that the matches are on TV and internet all the time, I've just grown into even more of a fan.

There's a reason he won the FIFA player of the year award. He does with his feet what those And 1 guys do with a basketball. It's amazing to see him at work.

He should have regardless of if Messi got hurt. Messi isn't the best player in the world. He plays with the best passers in the world and is very good at finishing. It's not a coincidence that, as Xavi has started to taper off, he and Barcelona have started to regress a bit.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo can shoot, score in the air, score on FKs, dribble very well, and cross very well. Sorry, but I'd but Ribery and Zlatan ahead of Messi as well right now. Messi can't take FKs well (he scores sometimes but not often), can't cross, and is worthless in the air.

Was an Atl Madrid ballboy, trying to waste time in the final minutes of a match that Atl was winning over Real.

Ronaldo got the last laugh though--he scored a short time later to salvage a 2-2 draw

That match was just.....let's just say things got nasty and ugly especially at the end

I wouldn't say what we did today was soccer... but since this is the soccer discussion thread, then I guess we'll go with it. We looked bad, and Ukraine obviously wanted/needed this one despite being a friendly.

Julian Green is officially American. Now let's hope USA Soccer takes their time with him and doesn't push him down the Adu/Agudelo road (although Agudelo is young and I still have hope for him).

Was just coming to post this. This is HUGE.

And I don't think he'll go down that route, he's playing for a club in Bayern Munich that is known for developing their young talent very well (see Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Muller, etc). Even if the USA pushes him, his club will develop him very well.
