Correct. I can't make the jump from '15 straight into '17.

I have to import our file into '16 save that as a '16 file and then import into '17.

I needed to find a leftover '16 key as the demo given to do this type of thing is only for windows based PC and I use a Mac.

Next steps:
Do the import from '15 to '16 and then to '17
Verify all settings and information from our file and league correctly came over for '17
Then I will need to create backup files and sim a minimum of 3-4 seasons to see how the game "plays" financially as well if any major changes need to occur that aren't throwing what we have out of whack.

That is my understanding at least from Reign and Niddler but I will be utilizing my rare "help" coins during this to ensure I am not sabotaging the league to implode. :)

I gave corey a key for 16, so he should be able to do that soon.
We will see how it goes simming a couple seasons.

Markus, the ootp dev, seems to think we will be fine, but we want to verify everything.

Import into '16 and then '17 has commenced.
We missed a lot of fun visually enhancing niceties in '16 that I can't wait to try in '17.

Example:
Player flair as their player page has awards won all star games etc
The ability to hover over a guy in lists and see a small box with quick info
League leader stats are highlighted on the player page

Small touches but very nice.

Hall of Fame voting is now in game when simmed to a certain point and it is pretty awesome.

Concern I have and will look into is that there are 91 players on the ballot currently and there are 10 spots for guys to vote for.

You submit your ballot and export like you would any other sim.

The free agent demands do not plummet on the last week like we have seen in the past. It seems to decrease gradually as the offseason progresses which is a nice fix if that is indeed how it plays out and if that adjusts once we have multiple teams doing multiple bids and such.

The "lock to level" glitch seems to be fixed as I locked 5 of my guys to a level, summed 30 days and they didn't move. That was my previous understanding that it would release them, correct? I never had it happen to me so I tried it.

Lock to level coupled with force start, is how I understood it to happen.

there was a bit more to it than that but it was a known issue in 15 and they said they fixed it. it involved locking to level and positions and having conflicts and other crap.

Let me force start them now and test that. Good catch.

I checked the RP after all star game glitch and that seemed to be fixed as well.

I have a list of things to test but open to anything that I am missing that you guys are aware of.

Another fun new addition, Pennant Chase.

It compiles all of the divisional races including the wild card and list each team, total games remaining, average winning percentage of upcoming schedule, and percentage chance to make the playoffs.

There is a separate accounting page in the front office.
It's very clean, easier to segregate some of the details, and I think it will help some of the knuckleheads that don't know how to manage their finances manage a tad better. :)

Great addition IMO.

Also, there are goals assigned by the owner.
Mine for example:
Achieve a winning record, target year xxxx
Extend your player: XXXX, Targer year xxxx
Acquire a player: Hometown player is the goal
Long term: build a championship team, xxxx

It also tracks progress. Pretty cool addition and will see how it affects budget, happiness, and other factors possibly.
