Drunk as fucking shit...but, I joined the INCAA for NCAA 2004 with Louisville and then had to go off to college and play D3 football...so my NCAA on-line career was over right? (Just sat up and I'm pretty sure I crushed my left tesy...fuuuuuuuuuucking kills. Anyway, about 2-3 weeks later I tear my ACL/MCL/Meniscus and cartiledge in my right knee...allowing me to sneak home from time to time to play on-line since I can barely walk/do anything. I ask Khary if I can re-join...destroying my relationship with some field hockey chick who was home sick as shit/loved her some large michael and ended any type of football comeback. X-mas comes and I play NCAA pretty much 24/7 thanks to a combo of the flu/knee surgery. Long story short I still play this fucking game and would probably do it all over again because this game and league is so damn addicitng. The only NDL member I met in real life was Feisty who was a good shit, even though he hardly answered his damn phone when I was in gainesville, and Nole was supposed to meeet me in SC for the UF/SC game when Tebow scored 7 frrigin TDs...5 rushing...but he bailied at the last minute meaning I had to buy tickets from some random drunk SC fans...F U NOle since I stayed at some girl's sorrity house and had a damn good time.

Anyway...NDL 4 life. I would have gone to vegas with the rest of you fucks when you went, but I literally had less than 100-200 dollars to my name and didn't want to show up broek as shit. I plan on going to the next NDL gathering and showing off some inssssssssssssssssssssane dance moves...pine apple express is on right now and it's 5:02 am eastern...fuck my life.

nice thread, just walked in from a halloween party. Probably not as hammered as Mike above....haha. I ll try and get some pics up of the costumes tomorrow or today. Great thread, interesting to see how it all came about. not that anyone cares but I got a ps3 and got madden and ncaa. I played madden alot online, hated the cheese or glitching nanos i was seeing so i googled online leagues for madden. got into the sim madden community. I remember my 2nd game against the saints (i was the niners) i got introuble for punting the ball out of bounds everytime cause i didnt want Bush to return the ball, instead of just punting the ball a little higher and letting my coverage get down there....lol Anyhow, i meet Drezplace, Oracle, Talented, Magnum.......Ofcourse i always enjoyed those games against those guys, so one day i asked drez and talented about how i could get into the NDL. They told me how, why i had to ask both i dont know, but they told me. I filled out an app, and ended up in the farm. Played three games and got an email from Tom telling me i had a chance to move up. Last season of the 07 game, i got the very last pick in the draft. UAB Blazers. I played Dole (tulane and forte) and he beat me on a 70yd hail mary Td pass..................................it was a great game. Not to mention the first time i laughed my ass off on the mic....Dole was funny as shit. Anyhow, i remember telling everyone at the fire dept about getting into this league. I remember some odd fuckers looking at me saying PS3 wtf is that and why are you so excited about getting into a video game league..haha! Anyhow, I appreciate Talented, Drez, and Oracle for pointing me in the direction of getting into this great league. Preist, Seeit told me about a hot spot in columbus to get the game a few days early, this years game, Dan (seeit) called me to tell me it was in. Hoos has helped me with some computer problems...........i could go on. Damn good league!

I can't believe Scrub made that long post and didn't mention how I've influenced his online life. The guy was one of the worst gamers that I have ever seen. I spent months teaching him the basics of gaming. I can still remember him asking which button was the analog stick like it was yesterday.
I'm hurt that he didn't mention my importance in his drunken post.

I came to online play very late. I had a PS2 for a couple years and finally bought the online adapter one day in November despite my wife’s overwhelming protests. She still calls that day Black Saturday. My game back in the day was Tiger Woods. I can’t remember the version but it was the one that introduced the analog swing controls. I used to play that non-stop online once I got the adapter. NFL 2k5 was big with me too. I also had NCAA, I think it was the one with Carson Palmer on the cover. I tried to play a couple online games not too long after I got the adapter and it was typical lobby crap but of course I didn’t know that. I was getting blasted like 72-6 so I said fuck it and went back to TW. I started doing some more research on the web and soon learned that what I was running into was not the typical gaming experience that you should expect and that if you really wanted to get a straight game, leagues were the best place to go. So I found leaguedaddy and got into Dr. Tom’s old OSPL and soon after the Farm. I’m fairly sure I was in the farm at about the same time as AJ and possibly Baker. My competitive side got the best of me in OSPL and I quit after absorbing one particularly bad assbeating. Having three kids and the aging process itself has tempered that side of me tremendously. But somehow despite my quitting, I got called up the NDL anyway and got Ball State in season 8. I then proceeded to put the interceptions thrown record completely out of reach with the immortal Joey Lynch. By the way, Joey’s dad is now the coach at IU who I would love to see gone. The Lynch family haunts my dreams. Anyway, the rest is history.

I bought the online adapter for the ps2 back in '02 and played 2k3 college basketball game like it was religion during that season. As I was playing, always saw a b10 or b12 before alot of guys names, which eventually led me to BigRy's basketball league back then. Started helping him with a freebwebs site for the CSFL when it originally started, had NC State season 1 and played there until it slowly stopped. About may or so of the year before the NDL started season 1, I got invited by jeff to pick a team off the remaining teams list and took hawaii. After a decent year, 10 or so wins, had a top 6 or 7 pick the next season in the draft, of course NC State's defense was ungodly back then, so they didnt make it to the pick I had, so I took a very lowly rated UCONN team with the 6 or 7 pick (Not sure if I was the first to not do the "best available" approach, but there could only be about 5 people in front of me that draft). I remember people going crazy as I passed on teams like Miami and other A or better teams
Back in the draft that I got NC State, they were much better than the 40ish draft pick, but people let them slide (I think this was after I sent out the first HOF for Jeff, and everyone passed on NCSU). I didnt have internet after having just moved, so I get jeff to send a message to my phone, asking if I wanted NC State, and I had no idea they were not taken as I couldnt see the draft. Now, I have seen a couple people say they wanted to play as NCSU, but I might be stuck here awhile, at least until they go back to being rated as high as they were back in the '05 game

It's crazy to see how this league developed while I was away from console gaming. I played back in Season 2 of NDL, after playing in Bicus, running 3 seasons of my own league and playing in another league with a bunch of VG guys, that I can't remember. Earlier this year, when I got my PS3, the first thing I did was found the NDL. It's pretty cool to read up on how things evolved.

Not NEARLY as bad as missing the 2007 LSU-UF game, which will go down as probably the greatest game EVER in Tiger Stadium.

I was NIU and I went 13-2 so I don't think we played, lol. I lost to my friend (WMU) and BleedSC and that is it.

Not sure how accurate this is and if anyone remembers. But i remember there were 2 guys that played in INCAA and one guy lost to the other and he started making fun of the other guys handicapped son on the boards, still not sure if it was that league or a different one I'm thinking about??
I remember a lot of drama in that league about polls and such as well.

I ran Madden leagues forever. I was one of those kids, but I got helped a lot financially and maturity-wise by a guy from Syracuse named "pat42raq". Together we made the Smash Mouth Football League (SMFL) for Madden and we were very successful for about 7 seasons. I remember hating when ppl quit, as I would finish the seasons for them.
I remember always being terrible online until i joined online leagues, but I got down here to UT and couldn't connect for more than a quarter in Madden. My suitemates NCAA 07 (Reggie Bush on the cover) worked online although it was laggy, so I just went with that and joined the farm. Played 1 season as Hawaii and threw so many INTs that i decided I would have to run if i wanted to have any success.
Got called up into the NDL after 1 season and took Wyoming. Made a bowl that year which i think i beat Shift's Idaho Vandals and I've made a bowl every season since then.

WOW, i just got done reading all 10 freaking pages here. There were a lot of names I recognize from when I started back in Season 6 with Ohio. I ran with them for 3 seasons and then had to step away because of the ramping up for our deployment.
I do agree with whoever said that the Boards were a big reason this league has kept going. Had it not been for the league boards I dont think I would have came back after Iraq. I checked in every-once-in-a-while over there, mostly the female threads cuz ya couldnt get any porn over there
Oh, and if anyone wants to let my team slide it has and always will be Nebraska. Was going to go with Mizzou this season so I could try to help Sammy not meet his goals and have to lose his team, but some ass had to take them with the first freaking pick

I couldn't do that. The only way i'd face Texas if not a bowl/NC was if that bitch Nick had them
