File is uploading...

Guys, I tried something Niddler told me to try today and deleted like 200k messages in a folder and it took fucking forever. If someone who was having the old email issue can please post if they had it today then I'd appreciate it. Also, if something else seems off with messages or anything let me know as I have never messed with that folder before.

My old emails are still showing

Niddler told me the same, that is discouraging. I'll wipe out the rest of them tomorrow and see if that makes a difference. If not, I have no idea.

I wonder though, if you wiped them out and we still had them in our messages folder would they still show up until we remove them from our folder as well?

I haven't downloaded yet so I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

This free agency....is taking forever.

Overall a pretty weak class after a loaded one last year

Mixed results here. Deleted several thousands of messages, downloaded the file and only had 13 emails! But several of them were old, including two going back to 06/01/2071...

Sounds like I may be one of the few who doesn't have this problem. No old messages for me.

I closed out OOTP after deleting the 13 emails and exporting. When I reopened it there weren't any there. Usually I'll have the one's that keep reappearing every sim show up in my folder when I reopen. Maybe a glimmer of hope?

Not to rain on your parade but if you delete emails, close the game (automatically saves game), and then reopen you shouldn't have those emails reappear. Only real test will be when you download a new file

Not to rain on your parade trying to not rain on mine, but if happened to me all the time. I'd delete all the emails I had, save, close and re-open. Once I imported my FTP file there they were, about 6 of them.

It didn't happen this time. Not saying whatever Billy did fixed this but for whatever reason, most likely a complete fluke, .....

Weird indeed but I'm all for no old emails in your inbox tomorrow!

I would say, everyone delete your messages that you do not want prior to billy pulling exports tomorrow.
If he is going to wipe them all out tomorrow, we will see what happens.
