Nope, Canada wanted to win it in regulation so badly that they kept the keeper on the bench. Hey, it worked for them to tie it, so why not?

It was before it was tied. The whole point of pulling the goalkeeper is to have an extra skater to go for broke and try to tie it.

i watched a bit of womans hockey about a week ago and the US out shot whoever they were playing in the 10 minutes I watched like 25-0

I was wondering though....how much are these ladies getting paid. who pays them? etc etc

That is a good question. I know there are European professional women's leagues. They also get a stipend from the US Olympic Committee/Association whatever.

its a great game. I like as many Americans as I do Canadians so Im not cheering and just enjoying.
