I was really high on Carlos Santana at C, but wanted Victorino too bad and luckily got my fall back option of Geovanny Soto. Catcher this year really has some black holes and a major dropoff

Yea I was going to settle for a second tier catcher but someone took Youk who I wanted and then I was scrambling.

The clock started ticking down and Mauer was the safest pick that didn't involve changing sorts.

I did take care of thinner positions really early which helped me later. Going Hanley and Mauer

Not sure what you are seeing.

I just checked and they pend for 2 days and managers based on votes can veto a trade.

I don't think we've ever had a trade vetoed so very fair system.

Ok, so here's what I get from it. The 2 day wait period is a minimum of 48hrs. Trades are processed early morning. Since transactions are not set for same day, you can't have the player until the following day.

So...

Sunday Night - We accept trade
Monday Morning - 48 hr (2 day) clock starts
Tuesday Morning - 1st day of 2 day clock
Wednesday Morning - 48 hr period ends, trade processed, next day transactions in effect
Thursday Morning - Players available

Blah.

im all excited...it's like waiting for ncaa release except the fantasy baseball season is rarely a letdown!

Seems to have worked all 4 other years we have run this, why change it now??

Is there a problem with the trades are processed? Never have heard of one before from anyone.

Its open to be changed but I have never heard one complaint minus the new guy this year.

2 days was decided on when we created the league for the league to get a chance to veto the trade if it is deemed unfair. If we need to relook into it, I can change it. Im not sure if I can change after the season has started though.

Anyone other than Seeit and Reign want a change?

whats the big deal? the season hasnt evenstarted yet. lineup changes can be made daily so whats the issue.

The current setup works for me
