Impressions of Ncaa 2011....
Re: Impressions of Ncaa 2011....
You guys can't tell me that the online lobbies and showdown shit isn't ruining this game...I log in and look through the lobbies and the fucking game crashes...So now I have to reboot.
EA did improve the game, but holey hell this is getting frustrating...

Is this happening with the custom matches as well?cougnix wrote:You guys can't tell me that the online lobbies and showdown shit isn't ruining this game...I log in and look through the lobbies and the fucking game crashes...So now I have to reboot.

Try this way so you dont have to deal with the lobbies or any rooms.
Seems to be working fine.

Once we picked our teams last night, it sat at the loading screen forever. I almost used the PS button to quit the game as I thought it froze. Menus are sluggish too.

Re: Impressions of Ncaa 2011....
Have you guys experienced icing the kicker in this years game? Yesterday I lost a game by getting iced. It's a new animation where it actually makes it difficult to kick the field goal. Just curious if anyone has seen this yet.Could make some NDL games interesting especially if you go into OT and call a time out before the kick.

Icing the kicker is bush in my opinion.

Re: Impressions of Ncaa 2011....
Also another thing which I like, have any of you gone through all the Jersey's the Oregon Ducks have on this game? I'm not talking about the presets. If you go to jersey it even has the 2009 jersey's (black/white/yellow and green) with the diamond plates instead of the gladiator wings.
We are so spoiled by Uncle Phil(Phil Knight) but I'm not complaining!

Ilike the game, but I have only played about 3 quarters of football so far. My summer class started this week and I have 4 papers due just this week alone. Not fun at all.

You can mix and match with FSU's uni's also. Pro combat, all garnet, all black, all white, garnet & gold, garnet & white, garnet & black, etc, etc, etc. Black or gold helmets too. The all black with the black helmets is pretty sweet.BIGmike wrote:Oh yeah the uniform choices are endless!ndlquack wrote:Also another thing which I like, have any of you gone through all the Jersey's the Oregon Ducks have on this game? Re: Impressions of Ncaa 2011....
kicking a game winning 51 yard fg with a kicker with a rating of 80 is bush. Love that ice the kicker is available online this year. No more easy wins.

Because its realistic to put a frozen screen on the TV covered in ice to not see where to kick is going to go like a hazy fog using an EA stupid addition to win a game rather than the skill of the actual guy controlling the kick.
Thats my opinion of course.
Use it all you want.

Didn't I win a league game against you by icing you and you missing the FG?

I'm actually on Shift's side here.
In fact, every kick should be iced, LOL. Guys making 90%+ of there kicks and going an entire season NEVER missing any FGs inside the 50 is ridiculous, especially in college football.
If a guy is attempting a 51 yarder for the win against you, he probably has almost a 90% chance of making it in this league. The icing feature actually brings realism, in terms of results. Obviously not in terms of the icicles on the TV.

Re: Impressions of Ncaa 2011....
This is why I asked the question to start with. Like shel said, wouldn't it be more realistic to at least have a shot at missing a 50+ field goal that you're trying to kick for the win. In College Football icing the kicker does work. Sorry to FSU fans but for some reason I can only think of them for an example right now and that is "wide right." Some of them were easier kicks but the pressure was too much.shel311 wrote: In fact, every kick should be iced, LOL. On the other end, I think I should have to earn the win and if an icicle icon comes up and a different camera view and it's hard to see the meter then that will make the win even greater if I can make it. If I can't, oh well. If there is one complaint, I do dislike how we can take the worst field goal kicker in the game and he could still go 20/20. The kicking game is not hard.
