Are you saying that all states would take a month to get on board?

Yup, rumors are 30+ days here after this initial extended week from Spring Break.

My son's school does eLearning for snow days and what not. They are all issued a computer but down the road at the school I graduated from they don't get eLearning days and they have no computers. They will be given packets to complete, and somehow get turned in for grading. Makes little sense to me.

It kind of sucks though as my son is set to graduate this year and he won't be able to walk across the stage if this continues for much longer.

On a positive note, I think if we get imposed with a 2 week quarantine for the nation, we should be able to do 2 a days for OOTP. Should be no excuse then!

I'll still be working during this time.

How many others will be working (not from home)?

Just 4 short months ago I would have been on the front lines with Shel in the hospital setting.

Talk about a timing in a career change.

Could you expand on what exactly would be encompassed in the closure?

Officially, my kids are out this week.

But we got an email from the principal yesterday basically stating she has no idea how long we'll actually be out, and she let us know we will transition to an e-learning curriculum with more info to come.

I'm half expecting them to maybe not even go back the rest of the year, but that may be a reach.

Only "essential" reasons to be outside including:

Grocery runs
Pharmacy needs
Physician visits/test check ins
Essential job requirements-FD,Police, etc
Curfew
Limiting domestic travel

No clue how that would all work and I am sure more details but thats the gist of what is being discussed.

You are basically stating we are going to have Martial Law. I don't think it gets that bad. I still see some people working, trucking industry has to work or this country goes down pretty damn fast. I don't see a curfew either. I think there will be a lot of suggestions with no serious consequences for violating them, for now....

Trucking would be an essential work function imo and fall into that category.

I would say Italy/Spain like parts would be put into play.

There's two other times in that short term curve where there was basically no change in a 2 day period.

Plus, hard to understand how we're getting new cases diagnosed when there doesn't seem to be testing availible for the most part.

Around here, doesn't matter much if there is a curfew or not. No restaurants, no bars, no gyms, no entertainment venues. Most retail stores are closing. There's nothing to do even if there is no curfew.

Exactly what I was thinking as well.

I guess the graphs and what not are really not that relevant right now given how we're still lagging wayyyyyyy behind other countries with the test shortages.

Curfews matter to me as my work is usually done in the evening and can run late into the evening. I'm heading out Wednesday to do a demo for Old Dominion so I can wash their trucks, 60 day cabs and 100+ trailers.
