LOL, so true hahahaha. Look at me vs Dave a few posts ago. It took hi two sentences to flip it to whether or not he was committing voluntary or involuntary cheating.RanDawg wrote:wow . . . you guys really know how to take a question . . . and rearrange it so that it doesn't get answer . . . (geez)

smile ya picklesmooch, i'm jokingtrendon wrote:1. I disagree with everything you said.
2. You make it sound like it didn't get voted in by nearly everyone.
3. Stop wagging the dog again.
That is not true.players don't retire til they die, pretty much.
This isn't the Reserve Era, dude.all these guys are available every rule 5 draft so they can be grabbed by anyone if they wanted them and I post these guys on my trade block. its not as if i'm circumventing rules by doing this.
Telling someone you're joking is frowned upon in these parts.DRiccio21 wrote:smile ya picklesmooch, i'm jokingtrendon wrote:1. I disagree with everything you said.

So explain this to me, a 28 year old guy who has some ML time maybe, are at any rate, he's been a professional for probably 6+ years, does he not qualify for rule 5 every year if he's not on the 40 man?trendon wrote:This isn't the Reserve Era, dude.all these guys are available every rule 5 draft so they can be grabbed by anyone if they wanted them and I post these guys on my trade block. its not as if i'm circumventing rules by doing this.
He does but you shouldn't have to make a Rule 5 pick to take a flier on a guy that has six years of pro experience and is sitting in some team's low-A affiliate with 20 other guys like him. You cannot demote him, waive him, or (pretty much) trade him. You are stuck with him the whole season. On the other hand, NE can just move him wherever the fuck he wants in his organization and even trade him. Moreover, he has SO MANY of the guys that nobody in their right mind - even collectively - would draft more than two of them. He is protecting himself with quantity.shel311 wrote:So explain this to me, a 28 year old guy who has some ML time maybe, are at any rate, he's been a professional for probably 6+ years, does he not qualify for rule 5 every year if he's not on the 40 man?trendon wrote:This isn't the Reserve Era, dude.all these guys are available every rule 5 draft so they can be grabbed by anyone if they wanted them and I post these guys on my trade block. its not as if i'm circumventing rules by doing this.
