Dillonvale gets swept by NorCal and only wins 1 of 3 against the Launch.

Up next is a 3 game series @ Washington and then a 3 game series vs Detroit to end our 2024 season!

Good luck to all of those in the playoffs. Should be fun to watch.

self responsibility rather than making excuses and blaming everyone else. that's a good start.
Dont you have to send some fathers of 4 kids down to the rookie league or something?
listen, I gave Pepe Suarez a choice... go back to the DR and work on the fields or play in Portland. he chose Portland.

LOL, so true hahahaha. Look at me vs Dave a few posts ago. It took hi two sentences to flip it to whether or not he was committing voluntary or involuntary cheating.

1. I disagree with everything you said.
2. You make it sound like it didn't get voted in by nearly everyone.
3. Stop wagging the dog again.

players don't retire til they die, pretty much.
That is not true.
all these guys are available every rule 5 draft so they can be grabbed by anyone if they wanted them and I post these guys on my trade block. its not as if i'm circumventing rules by doing this.
This isn't the Reserve Era, dude.

Telling someone you're joking is frowned upon in these parts.

Well after back to back shit months, For some reason these Detroit bumz want to win now. Pat Music is so turrible but he is 5-3 with decent era. Dont get it. IRF Adrian Alomar is 2-0 in 5 starts and a ERA under 2. Again makes no sense these guys are 24/24 at best.

Rookie Manny Torres continues to impress.

Looks like we are going to end up with 9th draft pick. Not where we wanted to be but we will settle for it.

So explain this to me, a 28 year old guy who has some ML time maybe, are at any rate, he's been a professional for probably 6+ years, does he not qualify for rule 5 every year if he's not on the 40 man?

He does but you shouldn't have to make a Rule 5 pick to take a flier on a guy that has six years of pro experience and is sitting in some team's low-A affiliate with 20 other guys like him. You cannot demote him, waive him, or (pretty much) trade him. You are stuck with him the whole season. On the other hand, NE can just move him wherever the fuck he wants in his organization and even trade him. Moreover, he has SO MANY of the guys that nobody in their right mind - even collectively - would draft more than two of them. He is protecting himself with quantity.

Simply put, New England has a reserve team and that is not allowed in baseball, hence the goddamn Rule 5 draft. if it were anyone else but Ambivalent Dave, you'd be all over it but you are mesmerized by his magician-like tactics in arguing. This is Dr. Tom level of shenahigans, intentional or not. It has affected the competitiveness of the game, possibly the health of minor leaguers, their morale, and prevented other teams in need from signing replacement-level players to help them deal with an injury.

I admit it! i'm busted!
