Ah, well in that case you're just copying what I said from earlier. How original.
Wasted Memory wrote:DRWebs wrote:Looks like I was wrong about Dillonvale who are now tied with Cookeville for top spot in the NL
Dillonvale will be the representative of the NL in the WS. They'll beat Winterfell in the NLCS. Cookeville will make another quick exit. I think we'll actually win 2 games in the playoffs this season though!

Next year is what interests me. Las Vegas will be stronger, Winterfell and Cookeville will begin their decent, I don't have the faith in Toronto you others seem to have. They'll stay about where they are.
Some things are a given... Sheltowns never ending search for a title, Omaha being 5 years away 5 years away, and Orange County missing the playoffs

In an end of the regular season new conference, Winterfell's General Manager effusively praised his teams outstanding offensive season:
"It was all about the longball in Winterfell this season, as the Direwolves set the NL Team record for HRs in a season with 254. This broke the old NL mark of 243 held by Cincy in two different seasons. Winterfell also posted the second highe NL Team SLG all time at 0.498, 4 points shy of Albany's .502 record set all the way back in 2020.
Winterfell's everyday line-up featured 8 players with double-digit homeruns on the season. 6 of of the 8 hit more than 20 HRs, while 4 of those 6 hit more than 30 HRs, and finally 2 of those 4 hit more than 40 HRs. This team was still selective despite their power, striking out the fewest times of any team in either League."
When pressed for comment on his team's rather pedestrian pitching, the General Manager fled the stage crying screams of anguish and disappointment.

115 wins and not even winning a playoff series? Not likely but wouldn't be a huge shock with that division you're stuck in.
Best bet if you don't win as the favorite this season is to hope Reign retires once we move to '17.

I was trying to actually put myself in the room, listening to the GM.
It didn't seem like a presser I'd want to be at.

We're a math and numbers kind of organization. Winning the numbers game was our one big chance of winning anything this season, so we trump it up, especially with a team full of players prepared to take the black and live out the rest of their days at the wall (in a couple of more seasons).

Invites only went out to the most prestigious Sabermetrics disciples.

In the group of death anything can happen!
We are resting up, watching as a team in the owners suite as things unfold and hoping for lots of injuries and a 7 game series with 19 inning games in the Crabs-Tits series.

115 wins has been achieved twice in the past 4 seasons.
Neither team made the World Series. Both teams lost in the Championship Series in 5 games. Teddy won the title in both of those seasons.

Team of destiny.
A rags to riches kind of story in Boston. Why not us? Cowboy up? Etc etc

Beating one of those 115 win teams in the 2037 ALCS was our World Series that year.*
*Super cliche statement made by any team that wins the penultimate but not final series of the season.... But it's true!
