No chance McNabb returns.

And shannahan has gone off the deep end. He's had a meltdown this year. He should be fired as well IMO.

its better off for Washington if they lose all these games and if they are cutting him anyways it makes alot of sense

I always wonder why teams with losing records don't sit starters, especially QBs to give young guys experience while also likely increasing your chance to lose and get a better draft pick.

teams would get a lot of heat from the players who are trying to put up numbers for future contracts and probably get shit from the players union too.

but i agree in an ideal world it makes sense.

Shel I am confused you just said Shannohan has gone off the deep end yet he is doing exactly what you just said here right above? :?:

I meant Shannahan for the entire season, not just here. But I also think what I said and what is happening in Washington really isn't exactly what i said.

Grossman isn't exactly some young kid in need of reps. You know what you're getting with Grossman, and regardless of how he plays the last 2 games, he's obviously not as good as McNabb, so it's really not the same.

Shanny isn't trying out new, young QBs. He's flat out benching McNabb, and putting him in the 3rd QB spot.

There's a whole lot more to it then just giving other QBs experience.

Not quite. He's trying to see if there is any reason to keep Sexy Rexy for next year or if he's going to just have to start over completely. McNabb is gone, and so is Rexy, UNLESS Rexy steps up and shows some onions in this next 3 weeks. I say just clean the cupboard and try again

You do have a point. If McNabb definitely won't be there next year, why not start someone else.

That being said, if you don't know by now what you have with Grossman, the next 2 games aren't exactly going to tell you.

And again, none of this is the reason why McNabb is being benched, let's be honest. There's some behind the scenes fighting going on or something, and that is why this is happening. It's not to decide whether to keep Grossman. If I thought it was solely based on that, judging Grossman, I wouldn't see any problem with it, but i have a tough time believing that.

99% most likely yea. He's just seeing if Rex is even worth being a backup imo. He knows he's not the future or the starter, but might as well see if there is any reason at all to keep him. I'd rather see them start Beck
