Please never try to apply the % of positive tests to all untested individuals. That's non-sense.
How else are you supposed to get an idea of how wide spread it is? You can't test 330M people. The only way to come up with an educated guess is to keep the testing up and look at a wider picture. There is no other way. I'm just doing the same concept as USC (or was it Stanford) did when they said up to 20% of LA County had the virus.
Ok n a good note, the percentage of people testing positve versus the ones tested keeps going down with more testing. From 17.3% to 15.69%.
That's the point... it's not representative, so it's not worth anything. Area wide random sampling outcomes are more accurate. Daily positive rates will be single digits within days.

Tons to unpack in those comparisons...
- DeSantis is in a volatile purple state. Everything he does it scrutinized. If he f's up, it's immediately in the news.
- Cuomo (and DeBlasio) is in a blue state. Heavy media connections. If he f's up, he blames Trump.
- I think it's unfair to judge Florida and New York results against each other. Honestly unfair to judge NY against anyone else in the US. Every other state was able to react to what was going on with NY, even if it was just a few days ahead. That's a big advantage. Also, NY being the major entry point means they were really caught off guard with the impact. That honestly could have and would have been any other state (or worse), if they were the impact point.
- I don't really see Cuomo differently an any direction as it relates to the response. His situation was unique. He did a lot right from a state perspective and messed some stuff up too. I certainly don't see him as future presidential candidate like 9/11 vaulted Rudy and he's also not a jackass like DeBlasio proved to be.

Of course they did. But we didn’t lock down in an effort to eliminate cases, we did it to flatten the curve. If we now have better data that our hospitals can handle it, we should be more open

good news is the overall world death rate is lowering (albeit slowly)
bad news (for some).. Russia/Brazil and India are about to get rocked. When I started tracking Russia wasnt even on the list and now theyre top 5 in confirms.

isnt that like all things? Most ppl dont die of HIV/AIDS, they die of Pneumonia, a complication from aids.
"Most people who die from HIV/AIDS do not die from the virus itself but rather from these so-called "opportunistic infections," which take advantage of a weak immune system, according to the University of California, San Francisco."
Just cause u had 5 weeks to live doesnt mean you were suppose to die today. You died from complications from Covid.

Did you watch the video?
She specifically stated they weren't necessarily dying from complications from COVID, that's the point.
