When I was 22ish I was installing a fire alarm system in a rich part of town. Watched an old lady drive up the ramp, tbone a car on the road, continue driving and ran into a tree and rode it. I had to call the hospital to cancel her neurological appointment.
Old people are the worst

Detective Weasels thoughts:
-I havent spent a TON of time in the DFW area, but what little I have, I know that place is FLAT. Its certainly east of those colliding tectonic plates Joe was talking about earlier. Looking at the driveways in the pictures provided, it appears the grade of the drives are quite shallow. This is important.
-By the looks of it, the street has a curb. The street sign in question is both sizeable and decorative, certainly more so than your typical square steel sign post. It also appears that there are two different posts that were knocked over (the close up looks to have a different base than the street sign, no?), in addition to the mangled mailbox.
-This lady is trying to say the car went from a stopped position on a relatively flat surface, coasted backwards over a curb, through two sizeable posts and a mailbox? All with grandmas pelvis being used as a speed bump?
-This isnt even mentioning the coffee mug. Im assuming when she says windshield she actually meant hood. Is there any evidence of spilled coffee anywhere? Or are we to believe this all happened without the coffee losing a drop?
Im not saying its impossible, but color me skeptical

im actually on Team Weasel now!!
I get out and forget to put the car in park. Fell over got run over , nothing serious just tire tracks on hip
how do you fall underneath the car you just got out of? and as an old person, a car running your hip over would break it.

Wow I must say, I find that thought provoking and makes me question her now.
My thing was when you release your foot off the gas it would instantly jerk back. Are you saying she didn’t see that and instantly press the brake and go oh shit? No she abandoned ship or got out of the car so damn fast it caught her leg, she fell and the car ran over her?
Damn Weas

I did the Indy Mega Mini Challenge today. I ran the 5K and then went back around to the start and ran the half marathon. It was raining the whole time and I was soaked. I had to stop on the front straightaway of the speedway to take a couple calls because my golf coach is a moron. My anger at his dumbass fueled me for the rest of the race. I had to stop twice later because the insole on my left shoe kept rolling up under my toes. I finally just yanked it out and threw it away. I threw the entire pair of shoes away after I got my stuff from the gear check truck. All in all, it was a nice challenge. I’m doing a full marathon in November. I’ll probably do this challenge again next year.

Gotta agree with the ruling though, although he def impeded the 1 horse way more than the horse that finished second.

I don't know shit about racing but I had some friends over for it and we all said right around the same time "why did that horse just take off like it was gonna run off the track." If a bunch of non race fans can see it, I think it was a good call.

For someone who doesn't know the 1st thing about racing, what happened and why did he get the DQ?

I didn't see it but was listening to ESPN radio this morning. They described it as a runner in track and field, they aren't allowed to leave their lanes. In horse racing they have imaginary lanes as well, the horse that was DQ'd moved ever so slightly (the way the described it) over to it's right which impeded the horse in that lane. The jockey pulled the horse up that was impeded, stalling momentum. But one guy was saying that if he hadn't don that, it could have been disastrous if the horses feet hit each other possible causing a massive pileup.
I guess I should watch it so I know what they are talking about.

Best way I can describe it imagine watching a track meet/race and the runner in lane two on the curve veers out all the way into lane four, then when getting back into lane two, damn near clips and trips the runner in lane one as well.....

Looks like the owner is going to appeal the disqualification and not race in the Preakness either.

Heard someone say that they think the horse spooked when it saw a puddle and that is why it veered, nothing to do with the Jockey
