Tough call there but I think I'd lean Anderson as well as the whole package with defense included.

Mori just got hot in the end of June into July and maybe guys had already voted as well.

the great mystery that is ootp scouting
Take Lawrence Hernandez for example. My scout has him as a 50/23 rating with 47 Contact, 36 Gap, 36 eye and 74 avoid K's. OSA is pretty close to what my scout shows as well. But he is on pace for a 5.2 WAR and has a 158 OPS+.
Great example, yea he sucks.

Not to mention just walking outside in June would do it pretty quickly too... yuck

Mori and Anderson!

NE develops, then trades, great catchers!

Seeing the teams, the infielders in the NL are pretty underwhelming this season.
More got 2 votes for All Star, ease up on the "good job"

Others were suspect votes as well :)
Haha, don't be a homer. Mori is having a great year but I'd still take Jason Anderson's season.
1 of these guys is on pace for 10 WAR. The other gets to start in the All Star game. :)

There's at least 3-4 guys that there's no chance anyone would bet they'd replicate this 2047 season next year, so I'd go with they're mediocre.

Thank you for sweeping the Aces. Needed a little breathing room for the top 2 seeds.

I think your 2nd point is probably why Mori didn't get in.

As for your 1st point, if you look at the numbers, they've been virtually even defensively.

NL is just so freakin' weak this season. It's got me itching to pull the trigger on a couple guys in AAA ball just to see if we can sneak into the playoffs. I don't understand how this team is above .500 right now.

Some of these guys may not have gotten in, but these were guys I noticed that I can't see replicating this season's hitting numbers and/or WAR projections:

Lawrence Hernandez
Floyd Norris
Joaquin Ralla
Raul Cano
Ric Field
Brian Peters

Norris is on pace for what he normally gets to so don't think that is a good one.
Ralla is a 75 rated guy by my scout and going to be pretty solid.
Raul Cano is all about that defense, Cusack like which is his entire WAR.
Ric Field definitely fits the mediocre, crazy season
Peters is a 70 rated guy by my scout and a great young hitter so this makes sense

So yea, I think its your scout minus Field. :)

Lol everyone must of voted for the All-Star game in May. Josh Holmes had like 9 votes and is batting .239 right now...

I hate to say not vote until the sim before as we would probably get half than what we already struggle to get but the MLB opens up super early as well but we know thats a popularity contest.

Tough call.

Yes, he's on pace for his normal WAR...in a half a season.

His OPS+ is 151, career best is 110. No clue what you're looking at on Norris lol.
Cnasty wrote:Ralla is a 75 rated guy by my scout and going to be pretty solid.
179 OPS+, you think he'll ever finish a season with a 179 OPS+?
Cnasty wrote:Raul Cano is all about that defense, Cusack like which is his entire WAR.
Except his hitting is at least respectable, with a 38 contact rating and 26 eye. Like the others, I can't see him finishing or ever matching his batting numbers he's having this season.
