Find someone, preferably not in the playoffs, to text you updates and give them a password and they can make changes for you.

Not it. :)

Loved the no-sim Sunday. Got a chance to look at my organization; wish there were two more of them

Isn't it Riccio that is always screaming about how this and that isn't "sim"? Well, look at his fucking S-A team. The youngest guy on the team is 26 years of age, the team is 96-12, and is screwing up the development of their opponents (arguable theory on stats=ratings, stretching out bullpens, and lowering morale). He's got guys with six-plus years of MAJOR league experience (forget experience as a professional all told) on the fucking low-A team!

In the grand scheme, I don't really have a problem, but now I don't want to hear SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTT if someone wants to run a 19-man rotation or any reference at all to draft pick trading. What you are doing is ten times worse than both combined.

Funny you bring this up, Me and Beefy noticed this same thing the other night. Didnt think of it as ruining others minors, But more of his place to store shit ML guys to win a Championship down there.

I think we should have some sort of age limit put on each level, To avoid this kind of thing.

Rookie ball - 24
SA - 25
A - 26
AA - 27
AAA - None

I just want a "that is not sim" limit and Riccio's is at zero.

Fred English, who was drafted by me years ago and got slaughtered at the AAA level, gets signed by New England and goes 18-6 in AA Conneecticut with a 3.44 ERA on 28 starts that saw him have a .87 WHIP and lead the Chokers to the Eastern development League finals.

His reward and his 27th birthday present? He gets demoted two levels to low-A.

He promptly goes 16-1 in this season's short-A season, including pitching in the game that caught my attention; a 22-1 loss vs Portland, New England's low A affiliate. I was thinking, "How the fuck did that team lose 22-1, they are halfway decent." Well! English goes eight innings, strikes out 10 for the win (lowering his ERA to 1.41) while my starter - last year's fifth-round pick Donald Jacobs - records precisely zero outs after:

30-year-old Bill Sparks (former Launch player), 27-year-old Hoyt Tracy, 33-year-old Leonard Ross, 32-year-old Jeff Shelton, 30-yeear-old Keith Rice, and another former Launch product, 28-year-old Jesse Hester lit into the fucking guy.

I then had three pitches set records for most pitches thrown in their careers.

19-year-old William Leonard: threw 53 pitches (with a stamina of 28). His previous high was 39 against ... the same fucking team in June; a 14-0 loss where the starter actually managed to record three outs. Prior to that, Leonard had never thrown more than 26 pitches. Leonard's morale is currently at angry (half due to "transactions" and half due to "team record" ... I wonder why.)

21-year-old "elder statesman" Zhou threw 48 pitches, most he has ever thrown in his career as well as fellow old man Fleming (22).

So, again, Riccio is banned from ever complaining about anything being sim. His lower two minor affiliates are better than the higher two.

we've discussed this before and Trendon I've asked you about this. you said AAA wasn't the place for minor league vets in OOTP due to the way development worked.

so ever since then I always thought of short A as our version of extended spring training which is why I have all my older dudes playing there and my stop gap for rookies before promoting them to A ball.

most of my veteran minor leaguers are in short season A or AAA. my younger prospects are in A, AA with a few that i'm ready to call up to the bigs in AAA.

i will say having multiple veteran guys in short A for multiple years as vets isn't sim. i will just promote them into AAA or release them. there really isn't any point for them anyways... i don't intend for them to ever play anywhere. i'm certainly not doing it to win short A championships, lol.

my minor league philosophy is pretty much as follows:
- 1st yr guys in rookie
- elite 1yr guys in single A
- 2nd yr guys who suck in rookie or short A
- 2nd yr normal guys in A
- 2-4 yr guys in A-AA
- younger guys i'm ready to call up to bigs in AAA til they are showing they are ready
- veteran AAA fillers i call up from short A

I'm just saying, I am not asking you to defend yourself as I don't see anything wrong other than the minor, minor issue of stretching out the damn bullpen. However, I caught your ass red-handed.

I now want draft pick trading reinstated.

caught me red-handed?

did you think I was hiding this from people? I've told YOU about how I do this multiple times. when i'm in trade negotiations I always tell guys, go check out my short A team, I have guys like Jeff Shelton down there that could probably help your teams depth. the last thing i'm trying to do is hide or get an advantage on my short A team. come on dude. you think i'm trying to hang those banners in my Short A stadium? you think i'm thinking, hmmm if I can stunt trendon's 20-20 guys on his short A team i'm going to have an advantage going forward.

i'm more than fine having this conversation, because I think the leagues entire minor league structure is completely fucked up. from the amount of players, how development works, to how minor leaguers should retire a yr after not playing in the minors, etc.

anyways, I appreciate the fact you think you're having your 'aha... gotcha' moment. nice work private eye.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love the sims after the trade deadline? Especially like today's, with no DFA issues too. Great way to start the week.

NE and Chicago Windstorm take command of AL Wildcard spots while upstart Houston sneaks into the final spot with 2 sims to go.

impressive stuff over there.
