Dillonvale takes 2 of 3 from Detroit and sweeps 4 against Pittsburgh.
Up next is a 4 game series vs the red hot Phoenix Purple Cobras and then a 3 game series at the Ohio Fighting Amish.

My AAA team went into this sim with the best record in the NDL:F and having the top rank in 7 of the 11 offensive categories (and 2nd in two others). I'm hoping with the roster expansion some of them will carry those numbers up to the bigs, because our offense is struggling right now.
Pitching has been just as good, which is also good because my #5 Murphy just went down, and Saito won't stop bleeding homers right now.

Juggled my pitching staff (seven-man rotation anyone?) so that my worst starters play against Texas and y best against the Breezes. Let's see how this works; could be dangerous without Bryan and Amaya.

Ahh didn't know it was a big series this week...I believe you got the division wrapped up but I'll be gunning for you. Sad part is my best starters barely rival your worst starters.

I just give weekend deadlines on a time frame that would be the earliest I'd start the sim. I'm starting in a minute.

Dillonvale takes 3 of 4 from Phoenix and only 1 of 3 from Ohio.
1B Juan Gomez is this weeks NL Player of the Week.
His big bat belted ad blasted the National League Pitching for 15 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBI's while hitting .577 and scoring 3 runs.
He is tied with Sheltown's Nick Cross with 115 RBI's on the season.
He is in second for doubles this year with 43.
He is tied for second for Extra Base hits with 75 and is in 3rd for Total Bases with 300 this season.
Needless to say that I am happy I gave him the nod this season over veteran Kent Meyers at 1B.
At only 25 years old, we hope he will continue hitting like this for at least a few more seasons.
SP McCarty comes back in 5 days from his 4 month long injury, we are hoping he can get out there and start helping us immediately.
We are now sitting at 73-71 on the year.
We have gone 7-3 in our last 10, but are still 8 1/2 out of the WC race and looks as though we will miss it this year.
Up next is a 3 game series @ Philadelphia and then a 3 game vs Cincinnati.

And a pretty rough schedule to end the year, I am hoping you miss out personally as I play better against Albany.

Well, secured a good draft pick still. Damn 8 game losing streak. 3 SP's out, had to throw a 2-pitch reliever in as a starter and he is out. Can't sign SP's to contracts from Free agency, so have to offer Minor League deals and the fucker won't sign it even though he doesn't have a job, lmao...

3 sims to go. AL Playoff race is going to come down to the wire.
3 vs Chicago Windstorm
3 vs Miami
3 @ Houston Alcoholics
3 @ Indiana
3 vs Albany
3 vs NY
the 12 home games vs 6 road games is a positive. 3 vs Indiana are must wins, finishing up with Albany and NY could propel me into a higher seed or knock me out of the playoffs all together.

Alcoholics go 5-1 . . . take 2 out of 3 from Omaha then sweep 3 games against PO. The one loss came in the bottom of the ninth when (typically) reliable Pepe Dunham blew the save.
We move 3 games back of the WC with 18 games to play. Of those 18 games, 12 of them are against 4 teams currently either in the playoffs or in the WC hunt. Also, 15 of the 18 games will be home games where the Alcoholics are 39-27 (.591).
Here is a breakdown of our last 6 opponents:
3 vs Texas
- 56-88 overall
- 27-45 on the road
- 5-4 head-to-head
- 22-32 since AS break
- 3-7 in last 10
- 2-5 in August
3 @ Indy
- 52-91 overall
- 30-38 at home
- 5-2 head-to-head
- 17-37 since AS break
- 5-5 last 10
- 3-5 in August
3 vs NE
- 81-63 overall
- 39-36 on the road
- 3-4 head-to-head
- 28-26 since AS break
- 6-4 last 10
- 4-3 in August
3 vs Mia
- 75-68 overall
- 33-35 on the road
- 2-7 head-to-head
- 25-30 since AS break
- 4-6 last 10
- 3-5 in August
3 vs Shel
- 91-53 overall
- 43-29 on the road
- 4-5 head-to-head
- 37-19 since AS break
- 7-3 last 10
- 5-2 in August
3 vs Alb
- 77-67 overall
- 40-29 on the road

- 30-24 since AS break
- 6-4 last 10
- 6-2 in August
Prediction
2-1 vs Texas
3-0 vs Indy

4 playoff teams from the AL East? That would be something and is definitely possible. Going 1-2 against Steel City hurt. Losing my 2nd best starter hurts. Should be a fun race... hope I can stay out in front

Moron manager.
Derrick Lutz is in CF (CF rating of 82, range of 88). Louie Gaudreau pinch-hits for the current RF Mike Lyon. When we take the field, Lutz gets moved to RF so Rickey Oglethorpe can play CF ... and he has a fucking rating of two at CF and 71 at RF.
Brilliant!
