metal bats are a joke.
as a pitcher, when i got to college and realized that my 88-90 mph fastball was less then average at that level and i wasn't going to be able to blow by guys like in highschool, i was petrified for my life anytime i got on the hill.
they will never change cause of the business side of things but i hate college baseball cause of the bats
I was in the same boat. I got BLASTED about 6 inches below my nuts my senior year by a line drive. My inner thigh was black and bruised from my groin to my knee for 5 days.
the worst is when you'd totally get in a guys kitchen and saw them off and they'd still serve one right over the IFs heads.
As far as costs for wood bats, with sponsorships it wouldnt be as much of a big cost hit as you would think for the big D1 programs, its everyone else who couldnt afford it.
