Fav rule 5 pickups are the ones out for a year. Throw on dl never see my roster and then I can send to minors or whatever next year

I think DLing them just delays their need to be on the Active roster. So you can sit the guy you took from me on the DL all of '77, but I believe he'll then have to be on your active squad all of '78. Or at least that's how it's supposed to work

rule 5ers have to stay on the major league team for the whole season. if u try to demote they go back to original team. after 1 yr tho theyre yours and you can use options on them.

Yes, I know. What I’m saying is if they spend that 1 year on the DL that time doesn’t count, at least I believe that’s how it works Irl and I believe I saw that to be the case in another league I’m in

Galaxy brain would be knowing the rules, and knowing if they spend a certain amount of time on the DL in their Rule V year, they have to stay on the active roster the next year too...

Also, it appears Miami signed a guy with 2 options. One vesting and one team option. I thought we were allowed 1 option. I also thought we disallowed vesting options altogether. Gonna check our rules though to be sure.

Player Contracts:
- Contracts are allowed to have 2 option years per contract
- Every team option year must include a buyout of at least 25% of that year's salary
- Max Dollars allowed on TEAM AND VESTING OPTIONS = No more than 25% GREATER of the average yearly salary of all guaranteed years
- Players are not allowed to be extended until they have 2 years of ML service and will be heading to arb the following season.

You are allowed two options. Team options just have to be at the end.
