You have to request a scouting report way more often on a player if you want better accuracy of a players abilities/ratings, so I am being told.
I think this is how they revamped it.
We will see if that means closer numbers or still the dumb, Scout A sees player X as having 3 for HR power, Scout B sees player X as having 89 for HR power.

What this may mean for us is if we scout players before we trade for them there should be a more accurate report. So, we won't be asking for someones's 65 rated guy that we see as 44....I think.

No, the new trade talks will be:

Anyone know what determines some of my own guys only having 2 days for durations to be scouted and others as many as 16 days?

i have no idea what you guys are talking about getting a report for scouting. can someone put whats new in some shel notes or is it posted somewhere on forums in regards to the new scouting

If you look at your player screen you'll see scouting accuracy under the summary. The more you request scouting reports the more accurate this summary will be; low, average, high, very high.

No cost.
I don't believe there is a limit.
In past OOTP games, you could request scouting reports, but once you did 1, that was it, doing another on the same player had no benefit.
Now, the scouting numbers may change and be more accurate.

Now, of course, I am imagining this does not mean all of our numbers will be closer together, it just means that if I trust my scout, I will have more accurate numbers based on him.

Plus, accuracy depends on the scouts rating in each category as well as the $$ allocated to each category :

Amateurs
Minors
Majors
International

It's more than 1 per day now. I haven't quite figured out the exact, but it's more like a couple per day

Certainly an improvement, felt like ages to get reports especially around draft time

Looks like more. That was what I noticed that I mentioned, some guys say as little as 2 days and others as many as 16 days from the 10-15 guys I've started scouting so far.


You can also prioritize however you like, moving guys up to be scouted first or down to be scouted later.



For those who haven't done it, just scout a few guys by clicking on the player and selecting Request Scouting Report. Then go to Front Office > Scouting > Open Scouting Reports. At the bottom it shows the players in the queue to be scouted, and you can see the approximate duration of the scouting trip, then to the right you can see where you can prioritize or delete a scouting trip for a player.

I could see it being something along the lines of whether or not the player is in your system and then the current accuracy as far as determining length but just a wild guess right now as I haven't spent much time in game yet

Could be wrong here, but i think the amount of days per scouting of a player may have something to do with what level he is going to. So if his accuracy is very low and going to low or avg or whatever, it's pretty quick, maybe 2 days.

But going from avg to high or high to very high may be the ones taking 16 days.
