Can we change the name of the award to MVP?

I'd say no as reading up on it, it's only used for when you want to assign certain tasks for them to handle versus manually handling yourself.DRWebs wrote:Are we required to sign an assistant GM?
I wouldnt require it but you are more than welcome to sign one and dabble if you like. In my testing of it I did not see any impact besides them completing the assigned tasks but I am not a fan of the computer controlling aspects of my team.

What tasks are these?
Dang, I made an offer, but it may be wasted money if I don't want him doing those tasks. Ooops!

Draft players
Sets budgets
Sign IFAs
Hire/Fire team personnel
Promotions/demotions
Basically anything that you want them to do from an auto play perspective.

Re: 2041 Season Thread-Viva Las Vegas!!
Coach demands are lower than OOTP15. Some coaches I have signed extensions for less than their original contract. And, if they like the offer enough, they immediately sign it (how the game determines this I'm not sure, unless a coach under contract has a hidden "sign extension" value... wonder if they could do this for players that are under contract...).
So everyone that signed any coach last season overpaid. Mostly Nick, but probably some other people too.

Coach demands were lowered last year when the requirement to have coaches was implemented. It carried over into '17.

That's the only one I'm interested in. I guess my question is, if I don't hire an assistant GM, am I no longer able to allow the AI to do minor league promotions/demotions?Cnasty wrote:Draft players

Re: 2041 Season Thread-Viva Las Vegas!!
No, only you or an assistant GM can handle that so you may want to sign them if that is something you are interested in. Your minor league managers can still set lineups and pitching staffs though.

Joe is just being a master of the obvious to show you he doesn't pay attention to anything you postCnasty wrote:Coach demands were lowered last year when the requirement to have coaches was implemented. It carried over into '17.

Re: 2041 Season Thread-Viva Las Vegas!!
When I was signing extensions last year, I didn't have a single guy willing to sign for less than his original contract value. This time, they all did. So... 17 still seems different.Cnasty wrote:Coach demands were lowered last year when the requirement to have coaches was implemented. It carried over into '17.

Ok, then i'll need one.Cnasty wrote:No, only you or an assistant GM can handle that so you may want to sign them if that is something you are interested in. Your minor league managers can still set lineups and pitching staffs though.
Going to hopefully use the 2 feature of locking a guy to a league level and force start to control just the prospects I care about, and Joe Schmo the assistant GM can handle the rest.
Mr Massey will probably eventually fire me in favor of Mr Schmo, i see it coming!

I am sure it is but the adjustment was made last version and as you can see with coaches and how this game "plays" there are differences.dakshdar wrote:When I was signing extensions last year, I didn't have a single guy willing to sign for less than his original contract value. Did you know...?
A few of the "Did you knows" up top when loading and downloading actually have stats about our players... I've seen one about Juan Gonzalez from 2010 (the one from Dr. T's team) and there was just one about Hawk Highbarger!

Former Miami Vice 1st round draft pick, Randy "K9" Williams, has apparently decided to call it quits per the in game news article...
. Oh and Nick loses one of his top prospects as his team continues to age

And we thought our drafts have been shitty! Williams is 6'0, 180 and projected to be a first rounderBonita Springs multi sport star Randy Williams has decided to discontinue his baseball career and focus full time on football. Despite his love of baseball, Williams says he likes his prospects on the gridiron better than on the diamond. "It was a tough decision, but I think it is the right one for me", said the Bucs starting pitcher. Williams, considered to be a standout defensive end, is projected as a late 1st or 2nd round pick in the upcoming NFL draft
