But that's the issue I mentioned before, the other levelis the same thing, just the other way around, it's too easy. We'd never lose. Given the choice, I actually prefer to play on the harder level as opposed to the easier one.bigred wrote:Sorry your not enjoying the level we are playing on Shelton

It's not my issue with the leauge at all, just like I said, it's just been my issue with 2K for about 3 or 4 versions now.
Oh, and I did also mention a solid part of that reason for the hard all star leve lis probably because I'm just not very good at this game for the last 3 or 4 years lol.

Re: 2k League (League now open )
Game has been fun. We're going to need something after the holidays to keep us going. OOTP is great, but we'll need a game. I think this could be it, but we really might want to consider some sliders to get FG% in line. I don't mind playing 8min qtrs either, to try to get the scores up to a more sim level. Bring down CPU FG%, maybe even our own FG%, increase overall scoring by adding 1-3min. I think it would be excellent.
Dave - Had a quick discussion about this last night... what do you do for calling plays? I was trying to call them manually, but when I get on ball pressure on my PG, I really have to avoid it because it's going to get ripped while I'm calling them. I've tried calling in the backcourt before, but ended up with a violation. Maybe let the CPU call them, then just don't run them if I see something else, or switch it on my own and override if I need to? I'm guessing I'd need playart fully on if I'm going to do this, so I know wtf is going on.

That, or you can press triangle so your PG shields the ball from the defender while you're above the top of the key to call a play.

I've also still got FIFA as a fall back. I've got an empire in my Ultimate Team that I haven't touched in a month. I prefer the 'group' play though, whether it be club or a league of some kind.
Never really got into FPS games, so I don't know much about BLOPS2.

How does triangle work with calling the play? Say I hold triangle to protect, hit L1 to select the player I want to call the play for, still holding triangle? But what if I want to call a play for my PF (Boozer, which happens frequently because he's a beast)? Release triangle, hit triangle to select him? Doesn't that unprotect? Also, to pick the player to call the play for, won't that automatically not have protect going? So basically the only time I'm protecting is when I'm initially bringing up the play call screen, right?

Re: 2k League (League now open )
The protect thing isn't a continuous hold of triangle, just tap it and he stays in protect mode. So you can then press L1, then pressing triangle picks the play for Boozer, and does not affect the protecting of the ball, pretty sure of that pressing any button while L1 is activated will only bring up plays for that person.ReignOnU wrote:How does triangle work with calling the play? Think of it this way, whether you're in protect or not, just regular, if you press L1 then press square for a play with your SF, it doesn't also make you take a shot since square is the shoot button. IT basically deactivates all of those buttons other than picking your guy to call a play for.

Yes, in coach settings, you can adjust something that just allows the cpu to call your plays, and you can still leave the play art on and you can see the name of the play as well.ajalves wrote:can the CPU just call your plays for you like in the past?
I kinda like not calling a play and letting the guys do their thing, they finally seem to do pretty well with that. They rotate between setting screens for ball handlers, off ball screens for shooters, and sometimes the post guys will post up. PRetty cool.

Yeah... I'm just not sure how all of the plays work or if that's really a solid way to play. We do have full control of our playbook, so I guess if I put "easy" plays in it, then this might be a really good option. If you get something with like 3 set passes in it and looking for a specific cutter, it could be a mess, I'd think.ajalves wrote:can the CPU just call your plays for you like in the past?

Re: 2k League (League now open )
Going to give it a stab tonight/tomorrow. Mgr suggested it after our game last night. We played a great back and forth game, but my team crapped the bed in the 4th, going something like 4/15 shooting. All 4 makes were layups or dunks, 3 of which were off of missed shots.
