I love the league. This gives me an outlet. Working 8 hours with at risk kids at school counseling them along with all the damn paperwork that I have to do this is wonderful. If there was really anything I would like to add or see it would be to get to know more people here. I felt the closeness in the early years due to the use of the mic and everybody was available. I don't play much at all if not for the league games so that's my thoughts. No league around that can touch this.. Thanks to BigMike, Bukeye, Aj, Nole, homley and others who do a bang up job..

Back before I joined this league my wife used to think that people who participated in video game leagues where a bunch of uber-nerds.

It's probably been strengthened. Now she knows rather than just thinks.

been here for a while (good Lord, i'm getting old)...

at any rate, joined up to play the game, but since then i've "met" quite a few people. after the first few seasons, the game became secondary to the community. i think the best thing i've gotten out of all this (aside from cheaper patriots/falcons tickets and a great tour guide in san francisco) is getting to meet people with different points of view. just about everyone i'm around, on a daily basis, thinks and believes things similar to me. i can come here and meet and talk with folks who don't. it broadens my horizons, even if it doesn't change my mind. i enjoy being challenged, or even angered/bewildered, by some of the stuff i read on here. at times i'll give my .02, other times i won't. either way, i get something out of it.

I dont think that the game being secondary is a bad thing. In fact it adds to the community of the NDL and that factor that makes playing people you havent played before a good thing. Its hard to make the best league out there better, but somehow holmey and the powers that be find a way to improve it.....

I am one of the few who obviously did not join this league for the gaming part. Hence my record. LOL

This is a great league with a bunch of great guys. Hell we are like family and hurt a little bit when someone loses loved ones and all that. Or at least I do.

When Outlaw had his issues or when Sirloin had his issues. I honestly worried for them and the families.

This is more than just a league for gaming.
