The fellas here have been awesome to bounce questions off of and get situated.

Oracle helped a ton last night too.

I just need to decide what premium channels to keep after the 3 month free period is over.

Thinking HBO only at this point as some of the other seem lackluster.

The downloading of the movies to have on demand is amazing

^ what are you talking about with this?

You will see on channel 1000 its like DirecTV's On Demand.

You press the green button and it will advance to all the channels that have OD programming. You have to currently subscribe to this channel to receive any of the OD programming (example: movies on HBO, Cinemax, Showtime).

If you dont have those channels you cant watch their OD programming.

Since I do, you can scroll through all their shows, movies, and other titles and you select the title. It then downloads to your DVR for you to watch before an expiration date (Ive seen some expire in 2 weeks and some in 30 days,it depends).

It downloads to your DVR, you then go into your list to find them like any of your other recorded shows and you watch the movie and then delete it. For free.

They also have a PPV one (channel 1100) but I am sticking to the free stuff as you scroll through all the channels you will see there are a TON of movies, shows, and other stuff to download on demand. Its amazing.

I was easily going to cancel all premium channels after the free period but this OD programming is making me change my tune.

Ah, gotcha. Will I be able to catch up on various series that I haven’t finished by using this? Dexter, Game of Thornes, and stuff like that?
Also, what is Cinema now?

Cinema now is like their PPV I believe. They will hook your Cinema Connection Kit up to your internet so you can buy PPV anytime you want which is different from OD.

I was wondering that as well and when I went to Showtime, they had Season 1 of Dexter but I didnt see like 2 or 3? I may have to look deeper as I want to watch all of those awesome HBO shows as well.

i called this number: 800-353-4388

someone told me it was a preferred customer number with less wait time. who knows? i got through really quickly, though. they said the system is down right now for about another hour, but they noted my account for when i call back later.

redzone channel and 30 minute replays FTW!
just saw this..

getting the discounted rate.. on the go free... and 3 free months of HD.

really appreciate this heads up.
Just called and did the first option of attempting to get a discounted rate. I used my friend got a great discount on his NFL Sunday Ticket, and the guy said, "since you been a loyal customer since 2000, we will give you $20.00 off per month for six months." Meaning, he took off $120.00 for the NFL Sunday Ticket, with the early bird renewal at $53.99 per month for returning customers. It is $33.99 per month for me this upcoming season...it is the best I could do. I have been doing it for the past two seasons, and for some reason it still works. So I pay $209.00 instead of $329.00, is what is comes out to. Better than nothing for returning customers, and if I cancel, who knows if it will work for trying to get it back for free.

Awesome isnt it?

I have like 15 movies in my queue to catch up on from the OD. I am wondering why I waited so long to switch.

I will be dropping all the movie channels besides HBO I believe though as its a little rich for my blood and HBO seems to have the best in programming.

I can not wait to watch ESPN3D this season as I watched an old Clemson-Miami game this past week and it was like being on the sidelines with how awesome the 3D looks when its actually shot with a 3D camera.

Also dont forget the iPad app. I rarely use my remote anymore when I have my iPad.

They know once you get a taste of the ticket you can't live without it

Hell I'm not a huge NFL fan but the red zone is amazing and the only way to watch NFL for me and finally catch my broncos in hd

that is what I get for skimming a thread instead of actually reading it, BOOM that just happened to me, your right it took them 2 years and the lady was cold. she is doing her thing typing making casual chit chat and then abruptly she goes,

I made the call and told them I wanted it but had to watch the budget, they agreed to sign me back up for $28 a month for 6 payments. :D
