What else do you have to do?

These doctors talk about the statistics and how it's not as bad as first thought and maybe we shouldn't have shut down the country now knowing more about this.

How is it not as bad? My sister works in a hospital and says it’s bad?

Have you seen the antibody tests? It's showing the actual death rate is closer to .1% and not the 3-4% we keep hearing.

99.2% of people who die are elderly are having major underling conditions.

Most hospitals were never over ran by COVID like the media suggested. We have 1000s upon 1000s of ventilators that were never needed, that story quietly went away without pointing out how overblown it was.

Remember those Navy ships with 1000 beds in NYC? There were reports around 1 week later that only about 20 patients were actually on the ships, they just didn't really need them.

There are many, many more examples.

And you have two doctors here saying it's not. But the difference is they are backing their statement with numbers. Numbers don't have a feeling behind it

Just watch the first 15 minutes and you'll see the numbers

I wonder whether the idea of overexposure plays a role in the fatality rate? Weren’t we hearing that healthcare workers early on were getting very ill because of the constant exposure? Maybe the lockdown didn’t stop transmission as much as we thought (hence the higher infected rate) but definitely minimized exposure which improved the body’s chances of fighting off the infection (hence the lower fatality rate). No clue, just wondering with some of what was reported early on.

Its also very regional. What I see here in West Michigan is very different than Detroit. If youre not living in one of the hotspots, you may be wondering what all the fuss is about

For every article I've read on them there's also one saying how the tests are unreliable. So I dunno who's right? 🤷‍♂️

And couldn't the flip side argument be that the shutdown is what ultimately caused the flattening thus not needing everything in the worst case scenarios that was all headlines early on?

Here is a callous take on it:

How many of those 54k were going to die anyways from all the other underlying conditions they had?

You obviously are close minded to this whole ordeal, have been from the beginning.

Healthy people are not dying from this at a rate to close the country up and ruin the economy. And the numbers are starting to prove that now that testing is being done

Fair point. In my other posts on it, I've made sure to say things may be this or that, and didn't do that on that post like I should have.
Crowes wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2020 12:23 pm And couldn't the flip side argument be that the shutdown is what ultimately caused the flattening
Could be, and I'm sure it has helped, but I've also seen articles studying the US/Italy/Spain and given areas within those countries that show the flattening results were attributed to lockdowns, but when you look into the data, the improvement would sometimes start 4-5 days after lockdown, which we know is really not possible to see those result that soon. Rather, it implies the improvement started with the other restrictions we had before the full on lockdown. But again, I'm sure the lockdown helps, just logically speaking. But it at the very least makes you wonder if the better approach would have been not a full scale lockdown and rather other limiting restrictions. In that spot, we have more deaths, but maybe not at an astronomical rate, and that would arguably be worth not tanking the economy and employment rates as badly as we have. It's at least a fair thought process.

Only Site with info on these 2:

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video ... d_end.html

They have their own business .."Dr. Daniel W. Erickson of Bakersfield, California, is a former emergency-room physician who co-owns, with his partner Dr. Artin Massih, Accelerated Urgent Care in Bakersfield.

So you look up Doc's history...

https://www.ratemds.com/doctor-ratings/ ... ld-CA.html

Awesome Doc! I was seen by my primary care physician a week earlier who misdiagnosed me, thus I went to Accelerated Urgent Care, and was seen by Dr. Erickson who diagnosed me correctly!

   okay moving on

heres Public Health refutting these claims btw.. smh damn Commies

Also lets not forget that these 2 doctors run a private company thats probably not making much money..

Just curious, did you watch the video? There is a 12 minute part 2 as well.

"typically you quarantine the sick" (12 mins into the video by the doctor)

actually you quarantine everyone.. during the black plague of the 1300s they used to dock boats for 40 days before allowing them on, whether people were healthy or not.. thats where the word quarantine came from..

https://www.history.com/news/quarantine ... h-medieval

The First Quarantine

The Adriatic port city of Ragusa (modern-day Dubrovnik) was the first to pass legislation requiring the mandatory quarantine of all incoming ships and trade caravans in order to screen for infection.

The order, which miraculously survived in the Dubrovnik archives, reads that on July 27, 1377, the city’s Major Council passed a law “which stipulates that those who come from plague-infested areas shall not enter [Ragusa] or its district unless they spend a month on the islet of Mrkan or in the town of Cavtat, for the purpose of disinfection.”

So if you got 12 minutes in you actually have heard the numbers of how it's not as bad as initially thought now that testing is happening.

a literal quote from them

"We’d like to look at how we’ve responded as a nation, and why you responded. Our first initial response two months ago was a little bit of fear: [the government] decided to shut down travel to and from China. These are good ideas when you don’t have any facts. [Governments] decided to keep people at home and isolate them. Typically you quarantine the sick. When someone has measles you quarantine them. We’ve never seen where we quarantine the healthy. "

"We’ve never seen where we quarantine the healthy."

Literally just posted about how they quarantined anyone from a sick area...... and im suppose to take their "data" serious???

If that is all you got out of the first 12 minutes then you are closed minded to any of the data, numbers don't lie in raw form.

what data? they said fatality rate is lower in covid when thats mathematically impossible since 54k > 32k (last yr) and 54k > 40k (worst year in 10 years).

what other BS data are they saying?

sorry im closed minded to bullshit..
