The funny thing though, while it's certainly not an officer's place to tell a victim that and I'm sure his intentions weren't to protect the victim, but his advice was good advice lol.

Exactly, it really was and we are seeing exactly why now.

Shit is coming out little by little on this.
Supposedly they already did the DNA test and it matched the victim.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A DNA analysis completed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on Tuesday confirmed that DNA provided by Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston matched the sample taken from the underwear of the woman who has accused him of sexual battery.
According to the DNA analysis report, a copy of which was viewed by ESPN.com on Wednesday, the Florida state crime lab determined the chance of the DNA in the woman's underwear being a match for someone other than Winston was one in 2.2 trillion.
Winston's attorney, Tim Jansen, said Thursday that he is not surprised that his client's DNA is a match, answering "absolutely" when asked whether the quarterback had consensual sex with the woman.
"We are not surprised with the results of the DNA," he said, according to USA Today. "We voluntarily submitted to a DNA. The only thing we are surprised by is it was leaked out by law enforcement. The question the people should ask is, why is it being leaked? For what purpose?"
Police obtained a sexual assault kit on Dec. 7, 2012, after the accuser reported the alleged incident had occurred at an off-campus apartment. Winston's DNA was recently obtained through a buccal swab he provided to authorities investigating the case. Jansen said Thursday that the sample was provided last week on campus.

Didn't Winston supposedly have 2 witnesses to say they were with him at that time and they can corroborate whatever his story is?
So either they were lying, or their story is that they were watching Winston and the chick do their thing?

Nole fans gotta be like "you gotta be kidding me?!?"
Undefeated
Own your own destiny to the title game
Heisman front runner and complete team
And this shit happens?
Will be interesting to see the timing of how this plays out. Not convicting the kid but what does Jimbo do as they probably have to save face at some point but I am thinking not until a formal charge or arrest of course I guess.

most of us are in denial right now
well, not really denial but with it being 2013 and the age of mass media, most of us know we cant judge until we see
just anxious for the whole story to come out either way
if he's guilty, he's guilty, send him away
if it's a duke situation, its a duke situation and we move forward
but yeah, most of us are just trying to wait and see

Sportscenter said this morning that in the FSU athletic code of conduct a felony charge, just a charge not even a conviction, results in an immediate indefinite suspension.

Even if they have to go without Winston, do any of you see anybody beating them through the ACC Championship? They still have a ton of weapons on offense and one of the top defenses. Don't write them off just yet.

I dont think anyone is writing them off but it sure as hell would be a major issue if a stud like Winston is not leading this team.
They would still be a solid team but nowhere near as great without him as that is unknown with whoever takes over and how the team reacts to the new QB and getting the reps and such.
I could QB FSU and they wont lose from now until the BCS game.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you posted. I obviously hope this blows over or is debunked, but they'll still probably face (and lose to) Alabama in the title game.
