I think it's 2 days in the MLB after the trade deadline

I get a message in the OOTP once I waive a guy "do you want to pull back if claimed?" and I have to click yes or no before I waive them

Doesn't break my heart, but I'm sad to see him go.

Despite maybe disliking him for being a Laker, Magic should be one of the favorites in Boston because he bailed the Sox out big time and now we are rid of Theo's disastrous moves for the most part

Love Cherington, think this is a career-starter and maybe we can go after Ellsbury now

Yea, that's the message I used to get. Haven't seen it in a few seasons.

Or a career ender. Boston hates the world rebuild and he better pull some moves out of his ass or he won't be there long.

Hiring Valentine from ownership without much input from him as it was reported shows he may not last long in Boston.

Let alone them firing McClure who he personally hired.

anytime we get angry in the OOTP about injuries, just look at the Toronto Blue Jays major league roster and understand it sometimes happens lol. We are sporting a AAA roster at this point. But the more losses the higher the draft pick next yr!

i don't think it could end his career, obviously no one will be happy if Gonzo drive in the game-winning run in the world series, but everybody knows he was given an awful situation and this was the best thing we could have happen.

From what I heard he was not the guy who wanted Bobby

Correct, ownership did but it goes to show how much confidence they have in him if they didn't value his input. Also when he hired McClure and was recently fired as well.

He could be a genius if he makes some great supporting moves and these 2 young pitchers work out around bucholz and Lester and he brings in another sp like shields.

But I can see it going bad very fast, especially of Valentine comes back. If they are going to start fresh, start really fresh

i don't see a reasonable scenario that Bobby comes back, though the market doesn't look full with candidates though

He's got a few years to prove himself. Wish Prince was a FA this year instead of last now that all this happened.

Loney's in a contract year and can't hit well enough to stick around, even in a huge hitters park because he doesn't have opposite field power.

Purse strings are tighter but i'm intrigued by what they can do now with those huge contracts gone

apparently Toronto is gonna offer farrell a long term deal, if he rejects we'll look into moving him to Boston like they wanted last yr. Lol, they asked for him and we said we wanted Bucholz as compensation and the convo ended. But ya, hes HORRIBLE in game especially pitching, and hes a former pitching coach.

Id love for Tito to come back but thats a pipe dream.

He was a scapegoat for the shit going on and lost one of the better managers out there imo.

He will be a hot commodity this offseason.

i want the Jays to sign joe madden by any means nessecary. joe has said in interviews how he hates toronto because of how talented we're gonna be, so he'd obviously enjoy coaching here. we can offer him more $$ and the trust that we can resign valuable players. pipe dream tho

Im a big Madden fan as well.

Saw some HBO thing on him and he just seems like a cool ass old dude that tries new shit to get the job done with unconventional methods.

He wouldnt fit in Boston with veterans as I see him more comfortable in a young team environment and molding players based on his philosophies and game planning.

he does such ridiculous shit i love it. starts relievers, doesnt care about closers, just wins, changes the lineup all the time.

thats my one complaint about ron washington. He runs the same dudes out over and over. Which i guess gives the players faith that he'll have their back but mike young didn't have a day off for almost 2 months this season and he's been having a career low year. High ranked prospect Mike Olt has been up for 3 weeks and has about 18 ABs. At some point you gotta change htings up
