You sound like a Millennial.

George is a fucking hipster. Probably got his finest skinny jeans on heading to happy hour to drink either PBR cause it’s trendy or some IPA filtered through a moose vagina with 9% alcohol. Time to trade in jughead for a Prius and get some bumper stickers like Biden 2020
And then move to Richmond

I do love me some Busch light though
Glad we agree on the skinny jeans.

He makes it look so easy.

His genuine disbelief about winning/being done and then getting emotional with his family was really awesome.

From not medaling last go round, the injury, and probably realizing it could be his last run at it...it was pretty cool to watch the entire thing.

Didn’t know about all the sexual harassment stuff he settled out of court on including text messages and pictures.

Not cool Shaun!!! Tarnished!!

But he still made it look easy and an awesome snowboarder at least. :?

Not at all, millennials couldn't do what I enjoy doing. Working an office type job is crazy. I'd rather deal with mortars and rockets

you're giving driving tests.....not like you're sitting in an office....Bama is right

That's what I thought I was going to be doing. 99% of it is sitting at the counter giving out driver's licenses and state ID

Wife is good with me going back to what I enjoy. Just gotta ask the boy and see what he says.

Same here. You can take me out of the Army but ya can't take the Army out of me. I love working in the small groups where you have to rely on the guy next to you. It can be dangerous and scary but the adrenaline rush is like no other, as weird as that may sound for some of you. I get anxious when I'm not around like minded people and feel out of place. I just don't want to be like that old 30 year career soldier who dies 15 years after retiring because he can't find something he loves to do.

I'm curious, how many of you that work normal jobs absolutely love what you do? I can say without andoubt, Dave, Ted and Weasel are the three I am positive that do. Or do you just like it because it pays well and you can provide for your family?

we've had this conversation on the boards before. My job is fine. If I could afford to retire in the next 5 minutes I certainly would.

Some people live to work. I am not one of them. And for the record, anyone who says they would continue to work after hitting the lottery is a complete liar.

Agree 99% about the lottery. I would definitely open a bar if I hit, but would be more of a hands off and hire the right GM to do the job I would have to do if I wasn't already rich from the lottery.

I could semi retired right now with my pension coming in from the military and VA. But I would be bored (which I did the DMV thing). But I miss deploying to third world ahitholes

to each their own I suppose. At some point you will need to be able to fully retire though. Does deploying over and over get you there?

I can fully retire now I guess. But want to get to the point of having the wife to be able to fully retire as well. 3-5 years and that gets us both there. 2 years and I could buy a bar outright without having to take a loan, that's the end goal.
