so after that horrible July, I just looked thru August stats.

- 12-3 overall on the month
-Thomas, Morse, Christensen are a combined 7-0 with roughly a 2 era ( 0.47, 2.16, 3.22 respectively)
-Also have 6 guys with OPS +1.000 for the month (Wu, Washington, Boucher, Griffin, Melsert, Mitchell)
-Alvarez has a .446 obp, McDaniel a .910 OPS.

after this post they are guaranteed to suck for the next few sims, but its a nice run they are on and the fans have been coming to the ball park.

Alcoholics have another 2-4 sim to fall 5 GB of the WC. 2 sims ago Houston was only 1/2 game back, but after going 4-8 over a 2 week span . . . shit happens.

Houston has finally gotten some guys off the DL and finished up some rehab assignments.

The needs a good week this sim, playing Indy and Texas, as next week they play @ Cincy and @ NE.

We took 1 of 3 from NorCal and 2 of 3 from South Park.

We are still technically in the playoff hunt, but we are currently 10 games back in the WC race and our bullpen/pitching staff better get it together and get McCarty healthy and pitching for us.
It is going to take one hell of a September to get back in this thing with 38 games left in our season. Let's see if we are up for it.

Up next we have a 3 game series @ the Chicago LOLCats and then a 3 game series vs the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks.

in the playoffs anything can happen, so yes making the playoffs is great, but when you have cincy and lolcats to deal with to just get to the last dance, yeah we are happy to make it to the playoffs.

There was nothing in my post that was a slight to you. I didn't mean ridiculous as in "that's stupid". I meant "ridiculous" as in, that's an unreal run to be on. If I went on a 13-2 run, I'd say it was "ridiculous" too

Cody Becker Has Accident

Cincinnati starting pitcher Cody Becker called in hurt today. He told Titans officials that he had suffered a sprained ankle falling off a horse. After being examined by his physician Becker said it looked like he would probably miss about 2 weeks.

Up to now Becker has compiled an ERA of 3.36 with a 12-7 mark over 24 starts. He has 164 strikeouts in 163.1 innings and has held opponents to a .203 batting average.
