Just had a recruiter waste about 3 minutes of my time. Starts off asking about my last company saying he had never heard of it and where I was located at when I was working from them. Goes on a little bit about what I could be doing with the company. Asked me if I would be interested in the opportunity and wanted to ask more questions.

Stopped him right there and asked what company it was and he said he couldn't tell me until after asking me some questions. Told him no thanks if he couldn't divulge the company name and what the position was that was being offered.

Is this normal? I was already turned off that he knew nothing about my last company, which is fine if you haven't heard of them but do a little research. Didn't know I was overseas for 2 1/2 years, which clearly is stated on the resume.

Glad I hung up on him then after the 3rd try to get the name of the company.

Highly common.

They bait you with the position, benefits and salary range. You then probe for more details such as the company and they clam up.

Red flag when that occurs.

I fell into it once. Sat on the phone with the guy for about 15 minutes and answered questions. Asked what the name of the company was and that I would get back to them after doing some research. They gave me the name and it wasn't a company I wanted to have my name attached to, going off the reviews online and BBB.

Anyone ever do a Polar Plunge?

I am doing one Saturday to support the Nebraska Special Olympics. My nephew has a sever case of autism and my brother asked me to do it so obviously I am down like 4 flats. Even got my son to do it. Wife said she'll watch from the vehicle. It's supposed to be 15 degrees out with 20mph winds (windchill supposed to be around zero) and snowing. We are going to tailgate prior to jumping in with bloody mary's and breakfast burritos, figured my last meal should be something I want.

Billy, you may need to find someone to replace me in OOTP.

That's where I'd be as well...because of the cold, not that I'm trying to be where your wife is...or am I?

This year they are racing the 4600 series and 4800 series cars side by side. 4600 series are more stock(ish) and 35" tires. 4800 series are a little more modified and 37" tires

4600: Pro Comp Stock Class
Spoiler!
This class has been racing in ULTRA4 since 2012. It is one of the 4 classes that races on Thursday of KOH week during the Smittybilt Every Man Challenge. Currently, these cars do not have to qualify to race in the EMC race during KOH Week. At regional races, this class usually races with either the 4500 or 4800 cars.

Class Characteristics:

Stock OEM Frame
Factory Engine
Factory Transmission
35” DOT approved tires
Single 2.5 inch diameter shocks per corner
Mechanical Steering
4800: Legends Class - Trophy Class
Spoiler!

This class is a sportsman class and races for trophies not for purse money, allowing for lower entry fees.

Front mounted engines only
Vehicle must contain 2 seats side by side
Single shock per corner
Max 37” DOT non-sticky tires
Only solid axles allowed (not IFS or TTB)

So Katie Couric is interviewing this blonde skier chick and the skier's mother. The skier is 22 years old and talking about how she's not like a normal 22 year old or get to do 22 year old things since she's always training blah blah blah. She's basically saying she wish she could be a kid sometimes and she says, "I want to Netflix and Chill" :o

I actually don't think she knew what that meant though but man it was funny.

I think so! This by far one of the dumbest decisions I have made. I always wanted to do it, but that was when I never thought there would be an opportunity to do it

I would probably have a heart attack.

Jumping in a cold pool alone is uncomfortable and heart jolting.
