Betts trade. Southeastern kid on the trade block and braves have a deep farm system to trade for.
Going to crush me to see him leave Boston.
Bill Simmons talks about it a lot.
I guess they paid big money to a couple of pitchers just 1 year ago and now all of a sudden are realizing they can't really afford him?
How is that even possible? Sounds like they're running their organization worse than Sheltown does!

Which is why they have an entirely new front office.
Terrible mismanagement but like Sheltown (and others) they went for it and got a ring out of it so not the worst outcome really.

the "cant afford" him thing is a joke. Up year or down year The upper echelon teams make money hand over fist. pay the luxury tax if need be and keep a top 10 in the MVP every year type guy who is young.
that said i wouldn't give him trout money

TIL the Red Sox won the WS last season. I had no idea.
I guess that does make it a lot easier. Simmons always talks about how just last season they gave $50mil to Sale/Eovaldi? Was that before or after the title?
Just seems like you'd much rather Betts than those 2 but if they signed those 2 long term before the title, I guess it makes a bit more sense.
I also wonder though, are those 2 guys really not tradeable? Hell, give them away OOTP stype if it means you can then sign Betts, not sure why that would not be possible?

I take issue with the Sale contract because there is no way he wasn't hurt, yet they still gave him a ton of money
he is either hurt or the gas tank is empty and he just doesn't have it anymore

I wonder what the odds are of a WS going 7 games and no home team winning a game?

I'm surprised AJ knew how to change the font colour
But Corey's right, there's been numerous rumblings and even investigations over the last say 5-8 years... Crazy the risks teams are willing to take

If 50 digital years of OOTP teaches you nothing else... this should be it.

kinda crazy if the banging is that noticeable that the teams aren't/weren't on top of that shit quicker. i mean the pitcher figured it out and mixed up the signals but that couldn't have been the first inning it happened
