Im sure the nursing homes that are dealing with Pneumonia cases breaking out know what is happening to the dying bodies. They might not need to do the test now when theyve watched 10-40 people die in their home (from the same shit) for 2-3 weeks.

Lots of folks in nursing homes are dying from COVID.

Please explain Nick. How is people dying in nursing homes a novel idea, even at this rate? 23% of all US deaths occur in a nursing home, sourced from google. People going to nursing homes are heading there to die as it has never been considered a long term living facility, there are facilities for long term living called residential care facilities.

and just because they are in a nursing home doesn't mean they have COVID-19 (unless they are in Toronto)

It's not like they're reporting every nursing home death as being COVID-19.

The CDC direction is for the medical staff at those facilities with the assistance of epidemiologists working at the state and local level to count deaths that don't have a positive test result but in which evidence points to the disease as being COVID-19 deaths. The same directions exist outside of just nursing homes - hospital deaths without a positive test or people that die at home would fall under the same category if the evidence suggests their death was COVID-19 related.

The CDC wants this information to improve their models and give them better understanding of the actual COVID-19 issue.

There's no conspiracy here.

Take a seat and drink some water Nick. No reason to get your panties in a bunch. And who cares if COVID has killed more than the terrorist. Two completely different things, now if it comes out that this was a deliberate biological attack by the Chinese then we need to bring them to their knees. But we will never see it coming out as a deliberate attack.

This thread really needs to lighten up a tad.

The US at least partially funded that lab in Wuhan, so it's not some Chinese biological weapon lab. It just sounds like there are several cases of reports being written about insuficient precautions at that lab leading some to suspect a mistake was made and someone was infected there first (vs the wet market theory). That lab was also investigating bat born coronavirus prior to the outbreak according to their own research reports.
