I found a crazy example yesterday. Mat Latos has nearly identical stats in k/9, bb/9, hr/9, babip, everything, and last yr with SD he was 9-14 and this year hes 9-3 with Cincy lol. If King Felix played for NY he'd probably never lose, even in the AL East. By Age, Felix is better than Verlander in nearly every category.
i don't care for stats at all actually, good try.
I care about who wins/loses me money and who is constantly overpriced/underpriced

Felix never should have signed the contract in 2010 with Seattle. He could have gotten much more money on the open market.

maybe "at all" was too much.
I do care about stats, but they're generally neutralized so I don't spend a ton of time judging them.
I think WHIP is more important than ERA like a lot of the sabremetrics people out there, but I'm not sure I agree with a lot of the other advanced stats that try to eliminate luck & defense and all those things.
I'm probably in that same group when I say OBP means more to me than BA, but I'm likely in the minority when saying I think small ball is better for scoring runs than waiting out for HR

The value in betting against Felix is his team sucks.
Best pitcher in baseball.

possibly.
Usually the price is heavily dependent on the pitcher and I guess he isn't good enough to overcome that a lot of the time imo

Good enough to overcome what? His team not scoring any runs?

I know bunting isn't the end all of smallball, but I'm pretty sure there are articles/studies out there that show that bunting decreases your run output in a given inning.

I'd even venture to say Morrow and Alvarez outpitch him from here on out as well...Clay screams demotion or disabled list right now between the results and velocity issues
As for a bet, Ill dress up as a leprochaun screaming where are me lucky charms on video and you can don a piece of jays apparel or a jays avatar
wow, i cant hardly turn this down. Done!
I'll buy a blue jays shirt if i lose.

not necessarily bunting, obviously a part of it, but grounding out to the right side and stuff like that so you're still swinging.
I would almost go so far as to say I'd want to bunt everytime there's a runner on 2nd no out. I'm not talking power hitters bunting like fucking Augie Garrido wants (coincidentally we get no hitters I wonder why), but if you're not one of the best hitters you're bunting.
Stranding runners at 3rd is my biggest pet peeve in the game

I'd still make that bet 9 times out of 10, there were no indicators that Romero would lose his control and be this bad
