I like what Oregon is doing:

He's suspended for the season, BUT:

1) He gets to stay on scholarship and get his degree

2) He gets to also stay in school and have full access to their support services (like counseling for free)

3) He gets to practice with the team, which means he will still get a shot at the NFL

If he takes advantage of these opportunities, he can learn from it and his life won't be ruined by the punch. But it's all on him.

All good points.

I think it's obvious he has some kind of issues, anger or whatever.

But we're really gonna find out what he's made of, I guess.

Dude was gonna be a 1st round pick. It was just amazing watching and with each move he made, I just kept thinking, "there goes a million, there goes another million". Just crazy watching a dude possibly throwing his career away right on camera.

I gotta say, it feels good knowing that I'll finish the 2010 college football season with more rushing yards than LeGarrette Blount.

I had a long post that I chose not to put because it makes me sound like a nutcase. But, the long and short of it is, call me a mick the same way I would call you a nigger and see how happy we are. Did it happen? In either case, it is hearsay, but just hint at it ... and things change. And, in this century, every brother and sister are the brunt of the racism or alleged racism. Maybe in another generation we'll all find another race to pick on.

Until then, it is entirely valid to play the race card. It ain't right, but it is fair enough. Hopefully, one day it will be entirely bullshit but we ain't there yet.

Signed,

A McSpic who will fight over both

Something tells me Blount is just in the wrong sport. I believe boxing was his calling.

idk about this one

came in to drop my money off to the bank and espn was all off in there trying to talk to his mom
even i am like WTF because she just dropped him off yesterday morning to fly back and now he punched someone it what seems like no time.
his grandmother--her mom passed away and the funeral was on tuesday but still he has to think about others...now her mom just died and she had to bury her and now in no time/her 1st day back to work ESPN in her face at work talking about your dumb ass punching someone.Fisher likes the fire in him but don't get me wrong anything else close to that and he is gone because the owner will feel pressure

I don't know about all that other stuff, and I'm not saying they should even cut him or anything, but the guy is proving AGAIN that he can't handle his temper.

I get that there are tons of fights in camp. But usually they come while 2 players are engaged, and blocking each other or something.

This happened well after a play. Granted, I don't know what the guy did to him before, but you can tell Blount goes towards him, Blount pushes the guy. The guy does NOT retaliate, then Blount punches him. THEN he does this gesturing and posturing like he's a prized fighter.

It's just not looking good on his part for his ability to control his temper.

If my team has the ball around the 30 yard line late in a game and may be setting up a game winning field goal, I don't care if he's the best RB in the NFl, I don't want him anywhere near the football field cause he can't be trusted.
